Libya after the fall of Gaddafi is still plagued by problems of leadership until the election of Mustafa Abu Shagur by parliament.
NTC led by Mustafa Abdul Jalil handed the reins of state to Libya elected parliament, because according to his promise would deliver the statehood issue after successfully guarding the country's first elections, after the revolution. During the transition period, the officials PM for the provisional government was Dr. El-Keib.
But unfortunately, the electoral system in Libya was not perfect. The elections only chose 80 members of parliament, while 120 members appointed by representatives of groups and tribes (independent) so as to achieve the number of 200 members. Arguably it was the basis of catastrophe. 200 members of parliament was required to elect a prime minister, but there were 10 members of parliament dismissed (expelled) ahead of the prime minister election, because they were allegedly close to Gaddafi's rule.
Post-Gaddafi, the new Libyan government "to eliminate the sins of those who had been close to Gaddafi". So, when the Libya Parliament elected the prime minister between two candidates (Mahmoud Jibril and Mustafa Abu Shagur), both had almost equal number of votes, in which Abu Shagur winning just two votes only. Of course, after 10 members of the voice were gone, because they were expelled. Gabriel parties protested and staged demonstrations against the validity of Abu Shagur.
As time goes by, Abu Shagur was asked to form a cabinet until the beginning of October 2012. Until the deadline, Abu Shagur submitted his cabinet composition, but it was rejected by the Parliament. And he was asked to recast until October 8, but the cabinet proposed by him was rejected by the Parliament. (In this case, I did not get enough information about the parliamentary proceedings, because the story line was very awkward). Abu Shagur was reportedly failed to get the parliamentary support to form the cabinet, so he was fired before work. (ehhehe.. .. weird!) ....
Abu Shagur accused the crisis confronting him was the result of a coalition of liberal groups led by Jibril with Islamists of Libyan Muslim Brotherhood group. (Libyan Muslim Brotherhood leader is Dr. Ali Shallabi). Both currently held a majority of Libyan parliament. They claimed to form the 'National Unity' cabinet on Monday, October 8, 2012 to select a new prime minister again.
Indeed, until the deadline Abu Shagur proposed his cabinet (which is termed as a 'Crisis Cabinet', consists of 10 ministers with the position of foreign minister was also doubled by himself) until there would be a suitable figure for such position. But the parliament rejected the Crisis Cabinet.
Popular revolution in Libya still hit a muddy and steep to achieve the people's welfare when the important issues such as the government formation is still hampered by crisis, as it is now happening.
But, you do not need to pretend not to know: Libyan intelligence has a "sweet relationship" with the CIA and MI6. For example, there is a document labeled with friendly words such as "from your friend" or "greetings from the M16". In a memo stuck between the scattered documents from the correspondence, a British agent even sent the Christmas greeting.
Core documents, among others include the agenda with intelligence activities, submission of proposals and schedule of activities, and a list of questions to interrogate terrorist suspects. There is also a speech that seemed to be written by the CIA to Gaddafi. It called for the creation of a free zone of weapons of mass destruction in the Middle East.
While David Cameron talked about 'human rights' in the new Libya, the British MI6 and American CIA had been involved in the torture and submission of Gaddafi regime's opponents to them. When confronted with the evidence recently revealed, William Hague tried to blame the previous government and said he didn't comment on security issues, although it was only a few months ago. In fact, Cameron's government arming and supporting the Gaddafi regime and maintained the intimate security relationship with the regime.
The efforts to control this change reflected by several things. First: those agents seated in resistance or opposition stronghold. Second: directing the change towards democratization and liberalization. Third: to prevent and inhibit the Middle East people's desire to return to Islam in various ways.
The West piracy to the changes in Middle East is becoming increasingly obvious. The West does not want the changes in the region regardless of their control. When they see the dictators in Middle East can't be expected to guarantee their interests, they turn as if to support the Middle East people who want the fall of the regime; whereas during this time the West fully support and maintain this cruel dictators. ( ehehehee..)
In another side to me, I told you with sincerity, New Libya. Now you need a true independence, free from economic and political influences of Western capitalist countries. They are the occupiers who are ready to support the most brutal dictatorship or supports the democracy that kills its own citizens, as long as it serves their interests. That's it.
Greetings of peace to you, new Libya.
