FILM & ANIMATIONS : When Medicine Got It Wrong - Documentary Film. Synopsis: In 1974, a small group of parents became the first in the nation to publicly refuse blame for causing their children to have schizophrenia. They formed Parents of Adult Schizophrenics and their activism led to parents around the nation demanding changes in how the disease is understood and treated. Parents of Adult Schizophrenics waged their battles in an era when mental hospitals were shutting down and the most severely ill patients were turned over to the promise of community care. Yet that community care rarely materialized. "When Medicine Got it Wrong" shows how these families launched one of the fastest growing grassroots movements the nation had seen to date, ushering in an era of dramatic advances in understanding, treatment, and brain research. Medicine now knows that recovery is possible and happens for the vast majority who receive treatment. Most communities, however, still wrestle with mental healthcare policies based on debunked theories from the 1960s and '70s, pushing many with severe mental illness directly into homelessness or incarceration. Baby Wombat Orphans! We asked our associate editor Harry what he thought about wombats, and he said, "An ugly animal—like a bat but dumber." Then we showed him this video and he was paralyzed in an alternating laugh/awwww/laugh/awwww stupor for three whole minutes. Then we really fucked with his emotional bearings by telling him that this little munchkin, named Belle, is an orphan. Sadly, her mother was run over by a car, but when animal control arrived they checked her pouch and found Belle alive and well inside. (Unlike most marsupials, wombat patches open from the bottom, near their rumps, so that when they dig they don't sprinkle dirt all over their babies. Clever, eh?) After being rescued, Belle was taken to Healesville Sanctuary in Australia and currently lives there with her best mate, Phoenix, another orphaned wombat. When we visited, they simultaneously dove into a tunnel that was too small to fit both of them, so their little butts were wiggling around in our faces as they tried to push their way inside. It was hilarious! Published on Jun 8, 2012 by VICE

Saudi activist talks about campaign for right to drive
Now what? You want to say the Arabs were quite advanced in thinking? Well, not really.

Driving a vehicle is the ability of ordinary, right? Just as we use the tools of cooking in the kitchen at our house, or just like when we run a computer tech equipment.

The problem is the mindset of Arab men must be changed.

I do not understand why they always think women are born only to be stupid, victims of rape, be plural wife of a man, and then finally tortured or killed as a mindless creature.

Geez, Hopefully Arab men can understand this one thing, although women are different when compared with men, but women are equal to men. Men can't make a rule if the position of women is not on par with them, because it is not a rule but merely a form of oppression on women's rights. Equality as I mean here is a situation where women can also make a series of rules to be applied and respected and to be obeyed by men. (Do not ban me for this and that, damn you! Hiyaa .... I also want to ride the big bike! Yoohoo...! And before my bike or my car broke down, I'm also going to learn a lot of mechanic skills. Dahling, if your old car broke down on the deserted streets in the old town, I'm also willing to push your car until we find the nearest car repair shop. And I still love you, need you and respect you.)

Today's African Proverb : "Dogs understand each other by their barking and men by their words" - Sent by Ismail Adam, Mogadishu, Somalia
Yeah? Thus, why Saudi Arabia was angry with the U.S. just because the U.S. smiled slightly to Iran and Syria? The U.S. has been providing military aid in exchange for the guarantee of oil supplies from Saudi Arabia, and Saudi Arabia has been the U.S. ally since the kingdom was declared in 1932

Ehehhe, based on this experience, it can be concluded that if you become an ally, do not let yourself become the puppet of your allies, O Arabs!

During this time, Saudi Arabia is a U.S. puppet, and always follow the directions and instructions from Washington, including supporting the military regime of Egypt - Gen. Abdel Fattah el-Sisi - who had perpetrated a massacre of thousands of Morsi supporters, even Saudi Arabia was willing to be
the U.S. military bases to attack Iraq.

Maybe Kerry will not persuade the Saudis to accept the position of seats in the Security Council, but Saudi Arabia will play a role in influencing the 15-member UN Security Council who can authorize the military action, imposing sanctions and manage the peacekeeping operations.

Ah, ... you see that? There is no lasting relationship in politics, and what is lasting only their political interests.

NEWS & POLITIC : The Bali Bombing, 2002 - Zero Hour (Discovery Channel). A docu-drama, Discovery Channel (2005). As hundreds of revellers enjoyed a night out in a popular nightclub in Kuta Beach, Bali, members of a Malaysian Al-Qaeda cell (Jemaah Islamiah) were preparing to unleash a devastating attack. The existence of a truly global terrorist network instantly became a terrifying reality. The film is based on first hand witness accounts, official documents and actual footage of events. You see? My taste is not bad, right? Women/Girls/Young girls/Ladies with personal qualities like Malala are more "valuable" than women with type like Scarlett Johansson or Kim Kardashian, and a list of names of other women who feel valued as women by merely showing off the beauty of their bodies
without educational orientation at all. Such a mindset is pathetic.

We are entering an era where it is only through education then people would be more human. Taliban is cruel because they are not educated.

My respect for you, Malala. Do not be afraid, keep on fighting. I see the profile of Education Goddess within you. God will always be with you, dear.

Additional note : The U.S. may be quite educated, but because the U.S. does not have a philosophy in education, the U.S. sometimes looks dumb with its brutality and its arrogance to other nations. Domestically, the U.S. school children afraid of being shot by crazy people.

AUTOS & VEHICLES : The new Porsche Macan - Intelligent Performance. 2014 Porsche Macan Details.  Porsche's new Cross Over Vehicle, The 2014 Porsche Macan is expected to make its official debut at the 2013 Los Angeles International Auto Show. Our friends at auto blog caught some 2014 Porsche Macan details when this uncovered test car was spotted in out in the open. Published on Oct 10, 2013 by Porsche

AUTOS & VEHICLES : Audi's automatic driving for parking. Audi's automatic parking systems operate by means of either ultrasound or cameras, which display images via the onboard monitor. One particularly convenient solution is park assist. When backing into a parking space, it performs all the necessary steering movements; it can handle both parallel parking and parking perpendicular to the street. The system finds a parking space with ultrasound sensors that scan the roadside in two dimensions while driving at moderate speed. The system notifies the driver via a message in the display once the sensors have found a space which is large enough. If the driver wishes to park in the space, he or she shifts into reverse and the park assist system takes over the steering. The driver must accelerate, shift gears, and brake. When parallel parking, the detected space is large enough if it is about 80 centimeters (2.62 ft) longer than the vehicle itself. Park assist can perform multi-point parking maneuvers and also offers support in leaving parallel parking spaces. Another technology from Audi is the parking system plus with surround view cameras. Four small cameras -- in the single-frame grille, at the rear and in the side mirror housings -- record the vehicle's immediate surroundings. The driver can call up a variety of views on the large onboard monitor, including a top-down virtual view. On corners or junctions with an obstructed view, the system can analyze cross-traffic otherwise invisible to the driver in front of or behind the vehicle. Published on Jan 9, 2013 by YouCar

EDUCATION : Homo Sapiens: The Birth of Humanity HD | NOVA Documentary. Nothing is more fascinating to us than, well, us. Where did we come from? What makes us human? An explosion of recent discoveries sheds light on these questions, and NOVA's comprehensive, three-part special, "Becoming Human," examines what the latest scientific research reveals about our hominid relatives—putting together the pieces of our human past and transforming our understanding of our earliest ancestors.

Featuring interviews with world-renowned scientists, each hour unfolds with a CSI-like forensic investigation into the life and death of a specific hominid ancestor. The programs were shot "in the trenches" where discoveries were unearthed throughout Africa and Europe. Dry bones spring back to life with stunning computer-generated animation and prosthetics. Fossils not only give us clues to what early hominids looked like, but, with the aid of ingenious new lab techniques, how they lived and how we became the creative, thinking humans of today.

Where did we come from? What makes us human? An explosion of recent discoveries sheds light on these questions, and NOVA's comprehensive, three-part special, "Becoming Human," examines what the latest scientific research reveals about our hominid relatives.

Part 1, "First Steps," examines the factors that caused us to split from the other great apes. The program explores the fossil of "Selam," also known as "Lucy's Child." Paleoanthropologist Zeray Alemseged spent five years carefully excavating the sandstone-embedded fossil. NOVA's cameras are there to capture the unveiling of the face, spine, and shoulder blades of this 3.3 million-year-old fossil child. And NOVA takes viewers "inside the skull" to show how our ancestors' brains had begun to change from those of the apes.

Why did leaps in human evolution take place? "First Steps" explores a provocative "big idea" that sharp swings of climate were a key factor.

The other programs in the "Becoming Human" series are Part 2: "Birth of Humanity," which profiles the earliest species of humans, and Part 3: "Last Human Standing," which examines why, of various human species that once shared the planet, only our kind remains. "Thank you for your perception! I like your romantic side, even if I do not always comment and I'm glad that you're in my circle of friends."
(Courtesies by: Wolfgang A. Gerhardt)

Wolfgang A.Gerhardt : May be you like this Sunday collage

Cisca Zarmansyah : Before today, there never was a person doing this to me. You create a simple matter to look special. This is a special thing for me.

Cisca Zarmansyah : Thank you. I love it. I love you, my friend.

CieL- FreYa Ceastle : Hmm, he's so nice...

"I am me.
In all the world,
there is no one else exactly like me.
Everything that comes out of me
is authentically mine,
because I alone chose it --
I own everything about me:
my body,
my feelings,
my mouth,
my voice,
all my actions,
whether they be to others or myself.
I own my fantasies,
my dreams,
my hopes,
my fears.
I own my triumphs and successes,
all my failures and mistakes.
Because I own all of me,
I can become intimately acquainted with me.
By so doing,
I can love me
and be friendly with all my parts.
I know there are aspects about myself that puzzle me,
and other aspects that I do not know
-- but as long as I am friendly
and loving to myself,
I can courageously and hopefully
look for solutions
to the puzzles and ways
to find out more about me.
However I look and sound,
whatever I say and do,
and whatever I think and feel at a given moment in time
is authentically me.
If later some parts of how I looked,
sounded,
thought,
and felt
turn out to be unfitting,
I can discard that which is unfitting,
keep the rest,
and invent something new
for that which I discarded.
I can see,
hear,
feel,
think,
say, and do.
I have the tools to survive,
to be close to others,
to be productive,
and to make sense
and order out of the world of people
and things outside of me.
I own me,
and therefore,
I can engineer me.
I am me,
and I am okay."
