ONLINE TODAY

► You can make a real difference as long as you believe in yourself -- so make sure that you're giving yourself the benefit of the doubt and marching forward toward your epic destiny! The best thing you can do for yourself today is to get more physically active. Jog an extra block or so. Take the stairs instead of the elevator. Getting your heart rate up will feel so good, it could become a new habit. It's nice to feel the drive toward success, but sometimes you need to get out and walk.

VIDEO : When Women Are Okay With Sexual Objectification. A study published in the Journal of Psychological Science suggests women feel better about sexual imagery in ads for luxury products than they do for similar imagery in ads for cheap products

I can understand that the media is still an effective tool to show the perspective of the owners of capital. From one case alone, we can already see, on which perspective the owners of this capital stand. And to whom this event is projected? By watching for a moment, the audience can define the target is the adult male. So I can easily conclude that sexuality (which is understood by the media owner) as the only men's.

I think all the media still have the same character on this subject. The perspective used is still showing a picture that women are objects of any kind of gratification for men, especially sexual gratification.

See any of the commercials hallmark and what they present to us. All categories still show that the image of women beauty to be presented to the men. Satisfaction comes not only in men who for example, happy stroking the silky smooth skin of women, but women also feel valued, accepted and needed by men since managed to make men happy over the white and the smoothness of women's skin.

Sexuality is still faced with the reality of the male perspective. In many ways women are placed as passive sex objects, whereas women as human beings are the same as men. By nature they are also equipped with the tools and the potential to enjoy a sense of sexuality.

Unfortunately, not much space is given to women to express their sexuality,  as if the presence of women is only to serve the sexual desires of men.

Therefore, a program that actually contain positive sexuality education is still assume that their show is only consumed exclusively for adult males. Therefore, it is not complete and has not seemed to be a success if the event is presented without spices which can increase the audience's desire (men).

So, where are the female audiences? Apparently, they also do not have an adequate place just to get a positive and enlightening information about sexuality.

Let us build an impartial perspective. When an event is projected to all genders, I guess the shooting ways by the cameramen are not as close and as detailed as it is to catch a woman's body. Indeed, I must still accept the fact that in a patriarchal society -- throughout the life of women -- they must give themselves and their bodies are determined by the people around them.

Cases of child marriage, child trafficking is part of the reality that is still high in some countries. Even these days many cases of rape committed by their own parents. Home as a safe place for women and children is not always true.

Still takes a long time to fight impressions siding on women. I still believe that sex education is important for publicly delivered and packed more intellect, but when it's presented in a way to make women as objects, it is also not very fair, because it remains to show women only from their bodies and their beauty, denying the intellect's quality discussed by the women.

To A Dear Old Friend

The morning newspaper still steaming on the table. The journalist had not read it yet, he was asleep in a chair after a long day of being chased by the news. As usual, to fight the dizziness he slapped his forehead. Escaped from the deadlines, he was asleep. His fatigue was so perfect. Weary gray hair was a sign of graying years. I did not know how many people and events crossing the time lines in his face wrinkles. They moved to a memory asylum.

Actually his late father did not like him to be a reporter. Better to be an artist, it seemed fun if pursued by reporters. His mother wished him to be a doctor, in order to take care of his own sickly body.

In the afternoon, he and his classmates were practicing to prepare the story. While his friends busy playing with words, he just stared while biting pen, whereas the teacher had said many times, that the best way to start writing was to write.

I did not know how it could happen, but suddenly there was a fire. The teacher and his friends rushed out. Later it was rumored that his school building was deliberately set on fire by a gang of rioters who acted like the heroes. At that time, the situation was being vulnerable, full of upheaval. Regardless of the danger, that stupid boy was busy looking for a pen that had fallen from the table.

In desperation, his teacher was rushing to overtake him. Meanwhile, the fire broke out more. All in a panic, "Are they burned?"

A boy who was gawking at that time is now asleep. His eyes are half open. The morning newspaper still steaming on the table.

FILM & ANIMATIONS : When Medicine Got It Wrong - Documentary Film. Synopsis: In 1974, a small group of parents became the first in the nation to publicly refuse blame for causing their children to have schizophrenia. They formed Parents of Adult Schizophrenics and their activism led to parents around the nation demanding changes in how the disease is understood and treated. Parents of Adult Schizophrenics waged their battles in an era when mental hospitals were shutting down and the most severely ill patients were turned over to the promise of community care. Yet that community care rarely materialized. "When Medicine Got it Wrong" shows how these families launched one of the fastest growing grassroots movements the nation had seen to date, ushering in an era of dramatic advances in understanding, treatment, and brain research. Medicine now knows that recovery is possible and happens for the vast majority who receive treatment. Most communities, however, still wrestle with mental healthcare policies based on debunked theories from the 1960s and '70s, pushing many with severe mental illness directly into homelessness or incarceration. Baby Wombat Orphans! We asked our associate editor Harry what he thought about wombats, and he said, "An ugly animal—like a bat but dumber." Then we showed him this video and he was paralyzed in an alternating laugh/awwww/laugh/awwww stupor for three whole minutes. Then we really fucked with his emotional bearings by telling him that this little munchkin, named Belle, is an orphan. Sadly, her mother was run over by a car, but when animal control arrived they checked her pouch and found Belle alive and well inside. (Unlike most marsupials, wombat patches open from the bottom, near their rumps, so that when they dig they don't sprinkle dirt all over their babies. Clever, eh?) After being rescued, Belle was taken to Healesville Sanctuary in Australia and currently lives there with her best mate, Phoenix, another orphaned wombat. When we visited, they simultaneously dove into a tunnel that was too small to fit both of them, so their little butts were wiggling around in our faces as they tried to push their way inside. It was hilarious! Published on Jun 8, 2012 by VICE

Saudi activist talks about campaign for right to drive
Now what? You want to say the Arabs were quite advanced in thinking? Well, not really.

Driving a vehicle is the ability of ordinary, right? Just as we use the tools of cooking in the kitchen at our house, or just like when we run a computer tech equipment.

The problem is the mindset of Arab men must be changed.

I do not understand why they always think women are born only to be stupid, victims of rape, be plural wife of a man, and then finally tortured or killed as a mindless creature.

Geez, Hopefully Arab men can understand this one thing, although women are different when compared with men, but women are equal to men. Men can't make a rule if the position of women is not on par with them, because it is not a rule but merely a form of oppression on women's rights. Equality as I mean here is a situation where women can also make a series of rules to be applied and respected and to be obeyed by men. (Do not ban me for this and that, damn you! Hiyaa .... I also want to ride the big bike! Yoohoo...! And before my bike or my car broke down, I'm also going to learn a lot of mechanic skills. Dahling, if your old car broke down on the deserted streets in the old town, I'm also willing to push your car until we find the nearest car repair shop. And I still love you, need you and respect you.)

Today's African Proverb : "Dogs understand each other by their barking and men by their words" - Sent by Ismail Adam, Mogadishu, Somalia
Yeah? Thus, why Saudi Arabia was angry with the U.S. just because the U.S. smiled slightly to Iran and Syria? The U.S. has been providing military aid in exchange for the guarantee of oil supplies from Saudi Arabia, and Saudi Arabia has been the U.S. ally since the kingdom was declared in 1932

Ehehhe, based on this experience, it can be concluded that if you become an ally, do not let yourself become the puppet of your allies, O Arabs!

During this time, Saudi Arabia is a U.S. puppet, and always follow the directions and instructions from Washington, including supporting the military regime of Egypt - Gen. Abdel Fattah el-Sisi - who had perpetrated a massacre of thousands of Morsi supporters, even Saudi Arabia was willing to be
the U.S. military bases to attack Iraq.

Maybe Kerry will not persuade the Saudis to accept the position of seats in the Security Council, but Saudi Arabia will play a role in influencing the 15-member UN Security Council who can authorize the military action, imposing sanctions and manage the peacekeeping operations.

Ah, ... you see that? There is no lasting relationship in politics, and what is lasting only their political interests.

"Thank you for your perception! I like your romantic side, even if I do not always comment and I'm glad that you're in my circle of friends."
(Courtesies by: Wolfgang A. Gerhardt)

Wolfgang A.Gerhardt : May be you like this Sunday collage

Cisca Zarmansyah : Before today, there never was a person doing this to me. You create a simple matter to look special. This is a special thing for me.

Cisca Zarmansyah : Thank you. I love it. I love you, my friend.

CieL- FreYa Ceastle : Hmm, he's so nice...

"I am me.
In all the world,
there is no one else exactly like me.
Everything that comes out of me
is authentically mine,
because I alone chose it --
I own everything about me:
my body,
my feelings,
my mouth,
my voice,
all my actions,
whether they be to others or myself.
I own my fantasies,
my dreams,
my hopes,
my fears.
I own my triumphs and successes,
all my failures and mistakes.
Because I own all of me,
I can become intimately acquainted with me.
By so doing,
I can love me
and be friendly with all my parts.
I know there are aspects about myself that puzzle me,
and other aspects that I do not know
-- but as long as I am friendly
and loving to myself,
I can courageously and hopefully
look for solutions
to the puzzles and ways
to find out more about me.
However I look and sound,
whatever I say and do,
and whatever I think and feel at a given moment in time
is authentically me.
If later some parts of how I looked,
sounded,
thought,
and felt
turn out to be unfitting,
I can discard that which is unfitting,
keep the rest,
and invent something new
for that which I discarded.
I can see,
hear,
feel,
think,
say, and do.
I have the tools to survive,
to be close to others,
to be productive,
and to make sense
and order out of the world of people
and things outside of me.
I own me,
and therefore,
I can engineer me.
I am me,
and I am okay."
