The War Is Over? Ah, Too Late

It has been almost one month, coalition of Arab Gulf's states led by Saudi Arabia launched a series of massive air strikes to Yemen. The coalition consists of Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Qatar, Kuwait, and Jordan (they all are Arabian Gulf countries, minus Oman plus Jordan). Six countries are all royal state and wealthy, except Jordan. Four other countries are Morocco -- a country that is far from the 'arena' -- Egypt, Sudan, and Pakistan as the only non-Arab country.

They call the operation "the Saudi Asifat al-Hazm" / Operation al-Hazm Storm (more or less means firmness or decisive storm). The scale military operation is enormous, which is nearly two hundred super expensive fighter aircraft involved in this operation. The goal is Houthi armed group and military supporters of Ali Abdullah Saleh, Yemeni president who has been overthrown.

The attack was targeting Houthi force bases in Yemen, both in Sana'a, Aden, and some other southern regions, as well as in North Yemen which was directly adjacent to Saudi Arabia, especially in Sa'dah, the traditional base of Houtsi shitees. Saudi Arabia ground forces also engaged in combat in Yemen border.

Why Saudi Arabia does not want to stop attacking Yemen, whereas there have been many casualties? Almost 1000 people have been killed, including dozens of innocent children. Social rift becomes a serious disaster. Yemen is feared to be trapped into a very long war in large scale such as in Syria. However, it has been around for more than two weeks, Saudi Arabia and its coalition even add their power to destroy Houthis in Yemen, including by sending massive arms to the tribes supporters of President Hadi. They seem to go all out to prepare for the war in long-term. In fact, based on a habit that occurs during this time, Saudi Arabia usually provides large-scale financial support to the power group in a country, to face a group backed by Iran. They shouted loudly to urge major countries to undertake military action through the Arab League or the UN. To be sure, Saudi Arabia rarely directly involved in the war. Now, this kingdom engages directly with full strength and is leading a "war" on a large scale.

Saudi Arabia is really aware of its position that has been so squeezed by the power and influence of Iran. Understandably, contestation and conflict between the two countries is the core of various conflicts in Middle East recently. Since the 1980s, Iran is seen as a serious threat to the country. Even since the 1990s, Saudi Arabia considers Iran as number one enemy. Israel is no longer considered as a source of threat in the region. On the northern border -- in Iraq -- the struggle for influence between the two countries is clearly won by Iran.

Massive support given by Saudi Arabia to Sunni groups in the country does not bring results as expected. Even Saudi Arabia initially felt to be siding with the group which now is called ISIS. This is because Saudi Arabia is so antipathy with Iran's influence in the country. Meanwhile, the main enemy of ISIS at first is Shiites in Iraq and Iran. Iraq now for Saudi Arabia is like is a source of threat, because Iran's influence is so strong in the country. Riots in the war against ISIS in recent times can't shift the situation, even the role and influence of Iran in Iraq is getting stronger. Meanwhile, in the Persian sea border, Bahrain position also is not favorable to the interests of Saudi Arabia.

This Shiite-majority country with Sunni ruler also experienced great upheaval to bring down the regime. Saudi Arabia directly involved in efforts to curb the people's protests by sending troops. Although, so far, Saudi Arabia and Bahrain have quite managed to reduce the turmoil, but Bahrain can still be a source of threat which can explode at any moment, because Iranian position that is so close and widely popular among Bahrain people.

Meanwhile, in the South region, Saudi Arabia failed to maintain its influence in Yemen. In contrast, Iran managed to build its nails by supporting Houthis strength. Houthi group's aggressiveness last few months was incredible. At the beginning of the air operation was launched by Saudi Arabia, these armed groups were preparing to seize Aden, Yemen's second city that became the basis of Yemen's ousted president Abd Rabbuh Mansur Hadi.

Saudi Arabia seems "can't stand it anymore" with Middle East development which is increasingly siding with Iran. Moreover, after Iran with 5 + 1 have reached a peace agreement in the framework of the nuclear issue, then Saudi Arabia position increasingly pressured. Therefore, it has become common knowledge if Saudi Arabia is an important supporter of Israeli's air offensive effort against Iran's nuclear arsenal which so far has not been able to do.  The continued attacks on Yemen, indirectly is Saudi Arabia response to the peace agreement between the West and Iran. Saudi Arabia also continues to build up its military strength in 'extreme' during the last four years: a military force that is built on top of a pile of "money" smell of oil, not on a strong military tradition.

The threat to Saudi Arabia is so great if Yemen is fully in Shia's control. Yemen has long direct border with Saudi Arabia. Incidentally, the group's power base is located right on Saudi Arabia border. Therefore, Saudi Arabia feels it must pull back Yemen into its orbit, by all means and at any price.

ONLINE TODAY

► You need to write out nearly everything today -- it may feel as if you're living on email! It's a great time to communicate clearly and let colleagues know what's really going on. [What is going on is, I'm in love with him - and I do not deny I want to feel him with me, although only for a few days - but I do not know how to end my relationship with him. I can not leave him, and I also can not go to him. I better be a silent stone forever. So, no need to send a letter on a rock, you know!]

You may have a tendency to talk really quickly to say what's on your mind before you forget it, but you'll get a better response if you speak slowly and stick to the point as much as possible. You have a lot running through your mind, but try to be conscious of your delivery. The most important thing to do is keep your audience in mind -- tailor your style to their needs. Though communicating with people is your forte, try not to talk too fast. I told you, I'd be a rock. So, no need to talk to a rock, you know!

UAE Teams Practice Aerobatic Flying Before Dubai Airshow 2013. The 13th Dubai Airshow will be held from November 17 to 21 at the Dubai World Center. This year the show includes a training performance of two aerobatic flying teams from the United Arab Emirates Air Force.

One team named The Knights, established in 2010 and consisting of 10 planes, trained with the Italian Frecce Tricolori flying team. The planes are painted in gold and black, representing desert and oil, and red, green and white on the bottom—the colors of the national flag of the UAE.

The British Royal Air Force's Red Arrows—one of the most celebrated flying teams in the world—will also be joining the aerobatic performances. The Dubai Airshow has been held bi-annually, since 1987. Published on Nov 15, 2013 by NTDTV

I do not wonder why Jews are smart, ... but the Arabs ... why they can be rich when their mindset is still primitive? Ehehhee .., blah! Stop your hypocrisy, Saudi Arabia! Despite being one of the richest countries in the world, and thus you are able to send most of your citizens to developing countries for spree-loving and fornicate on the pretext of Misyar marriage, but I know you're a royal dictatorship with the Wahhabi sect who have no shame to let millions of your people live in poverty and destitute.

Population growth rates and welfare programs in your kingdom failed to follow the increasing number of population of 6 million in 1970 to 28 million in 2012. There are thousands of billionaires in your country, but they never care about the fate of people who deliberately impoverished and they are just busy accumulate their wealth and build your country's image by creating ethnic and sectarian killing machines. Your empire is able to hide poverty very well and neatly, your elite and your royals do not ever want to see the plight of the poor. Many hungry people are ignored. 2-4 million your indigenous people living under acute poverty line.

We know a large amount of money from the oil kingdom and taxes just end up in the pockets of your royal families through a network of nepotism, corruption and comfortable government contracts. Indeed, you are the biggest oil exporter in the world, with the country accounting of black gold exports about 90 percent of the country, but do you think we do not know that your wealth is only spent to build the palaces of princes and individuals to incubate international terrorism such as al-Qaeda and the Taliban to be sent to Muslim countries which have a different understanding of Wahhabism,hm?

News Headlines (412) 5 November - 6 November 2013

ONLINE TODAY

Someone you admire and care a lot about will be under some heavy scrutiny today, and they could use some encouraging words to keep them feeling positive. Get out there and give them a hand! Be their cheerleader and send them sweet emails throughout the day letting them know you are thinking of them. It stinks that they are going through this, but resist getting involved more deeply than is appropriate. Use your energy toward taking care of them, not seeking revenge.

You may step on a few toes today -- but this time, there's nothing wrong with that. Those with sensitive feelings are out of place, whereas those who want to get things done are in their element.
It's a great day to get back in touch with your culinary skills! Your creativity is itching for a way to express itself, and food is a wonderful medium for expression. Being in the kitchen will give you time to relax. Let your mind wander as you concentrate on whipping up a delicious dinner for your favorite person tonight -- especially if that favorite person is you! You don't always need to use creativity for the benefit of other people, you know!

You may meet someone new today who changes the way you think about your life. Perhaps their cultural perspective is quite different from yours, or maybe they're just extremely persuasive! Do more today! More what, you might ask? It doesn't really matter. You just need to start busy and stay busy all day long. Being active will put a smile on your face and help you make a lot of progress in a big project. Action is your aim, and action is its own reward. There is nothing quite like the feeling you get when you ride a wave of momentum all day long -- you will feel like you are invincible among your friends and irreplaceable among your coworkers.

This is a great difficulty because of three things included in one thing:
1. Love sometimes makes people stupid
2. After sometimes love makes people stupid, love bringing people to fool men.
3. Unfortunately, the stupid men are Arabs.

Oh, forgive all my sins, sins of my fiance, our sins, but I beg you, my Lord, "Do not let it --being a part of the Arabs moron-- happen, though once and awhile in my life. Amen."

(NOTE : This prayer does not apply to modern, intelligent and scientifically minded Arab men. Amen.)

"Thank you for your perception! I like your romantic side, even if I do not always comment and I'm glad that you're in my circle of friends."
(Courtesies by: Wolfgang A. Gerhardt)

Wolfgang A.Gerhardt : May be you like this Sunday collage

Cisca Zarmansyah : Before today, there never was a person doing this to me. You create a simple matter to look special. This is a special thing for me.

Cisca Zarmansyah : Thank you. I love it. I love you, my friend.

CieL- FreYa Ceastle : Hmm, he's so nice...

"I am me.
In all the world,
there is no one else exactly like me.
Everything that comes out of me
is authentically mine,
because I alone chose it --
I own everything about me:
my body,
my feelings,
my mouth,
my voice,
all my actions,
whether they be to others or myself.
I own my fantasies,
my dreams,
my hopes,
my fears.
I own my triumphs and successes,
all my failures and mistakes.
Because I own all of me,
I can become intimately acquainted with me.
By so doing,
I can love me
and be friendly with all my parts.
I know there are aspects about myself that puzzle me,
and other aspects that I do not know
-- but as long as I am friendly
and loving to myself,
I can courageously and hopefully
look for solutions
to the puzzles and ways
to find out more about me.
However I look and sound,
whatever I say and do,
and whatever I think and feel at a given moment in time
is authentically me.
If later some parts of how I looked,
sounded,
thought,
and felt
turn out to be unfitting,
I can discard that which is unfitting,
keep the rest,
and invent something new
for that which I discarded.
I can see,
hear,
feel,
think,
say, and do.
I have the tools to survive,
to be close to others,
to be productive,
and to make sense
and order out of the world of people
and things outside of me.
I own me,
and therefore,
I can engineer me.
I am me,
and I am okay."
