Babi Yar

In 1961, Yevgeny Yevtushenko wrote a poem about the people who were killed in the long gloomy ravine in the northeast of Dnieper River:
I was every parent
who here
shot dead.
I was every child
who here
shot dead
Twenty years earlier, in Babi Yar, almost 34 thousand Jews -- including children, the elderly, women -- were killed by German troops in just two days, 29-30 September 1941.

Yevtushenko is not Jewish. The poem, "Babi Yar," stated, "In me there's no Jewish blood". But he sued to what happened in that place as a ferocity that was being forgotten, and thus also the ferocity in the past that is not recognized.

The Russian poet wrote his poem after Stalin died, and people can read it as a reminder of the atrocities that have occurred in the past itself, as I will be able to read it here with similar memories.

Naturally, the German slaughter of Jews was incomparable, because in fact each of cruelty can not be compared. As in the Babi Yar. A German army truck driver who was on the spot told his testimony:

After they were stripped, the Jews were herded into a ravine, through two or three entrance slit. When they arrived at the base, the Schutzpolizei officers encouraging them to lie on the bodies of people who had just been shot. It all happened quickly. The body was layered. A policeman came and shot each Jew's neck with semi-automatic rifles. Once the Jews were killed, the shooter would walk across the dead man's body to shoot the others. It was seemingly endless, and all -- men, women, children -- were killed. Children laid near their mother and shot together."

But, with a cruelty that nearly 34 thousand were killed in two days, incomparable, still caught us with questions about men in general: How wild was the creature?

From Germany history, the answer can vary. There's hatred of people of different racial, and since so many centuries ago, what's different means Jewish. There's a feeling of humiliated nation and the people who suffered after the defeat in World War I, accompanied by a strong desire for the country, a strong leader with a raging vengeance.

But, with Germany's typical causality, Hitler and his regime still wanted to be recognized as part of something universal. The Führer believed that life was essentially violent. "The law of life in the world", Hitler said in a banquet during the October 10, 1941, "Requires continuous murder, so that those with better can live".

What is troubling is that the killing occurs in other places, done by other nations, as if history can't be changed, humans are naturally violent and Hitler brought the correct normative system: "his law" is worth as law, eternal and applies anywhere. But we remember, he called "life". Life is change. Some of the atrocities are not just new versions of the same themes.  Hitler himself was in another era from the time of Genghis Khan, for example, with another ambition and desire and ways to implement another passion, too.

So when he suggested that the killing was a "law of life", he was actually trying to justify cruelty and destruction that was designed and implemented by him. He as if to say, "I'm innocent, I just run what is out there and there will be continued in human history."

What is not recognized by him is that he needs to apply for the apology (in the name of "law of life") because there is something else, which is outside the "life" is seen: there is a different normative system, something that has not been conquered.

And that is later proved. Hitler normative system can't survive, not just because he lost the war. Yevtushenko poem said, "When atrocities find their allies in other times, in other places, then so does the victims. "I" -- who feel kinship with them who were slaughtered at Babi Yar ravine -- also see myself in a far murder place, at a distant day:
And here, on the cross, they destroy me in torment,
And the rest of the nails in my body is still there,
In other words, there will always be a new lawsuit to new atrocities. Also those who say "no" in a new way.

Olala... my dear handsome bald,
If you want to express through writing, of course, you do not just write whatever all you want. If you have any ideas or thoughts you want to convey to others, then of course you also need to first think about whether others can just understand what you say in your writing, because if you are wrong in conveying or wrong way, then your reader will not understand you. It can be a misinterpretation. Maybe there will be the readers who will protest against you, even going to argue your opinion.

What the heck? ... An unrelated photo already inserted here?
Haiyaaa ... this must be your doing, Cisca!

Criticism, rebuttal, and even criticism of the readers have become your risk as a writer. But everything should have been contemplated and anticipated before writing. Positive criticism and praise will be nice. Conversely, negative criticism can indeed make the writers become desperate. All this can be avoided by prior arrangements. You must have responsibility for your writing. If you intend to express your opinions, ideas, thoughts, and feelings, of course it's because you are sure that everything will be beneficial to others, right?

Writing about health problems in the medical journal, for example, must have strong foundations to be justified scientifically, likewise, themed social writing, religious, modern technology, economics, and so forth. The author must master the material presented.

At least, there are three elements as author's code of ethics, namely: elements of information, education  and entertainment. Awareness of responsibility should exist in the soul of every writer. Your courage to express your opinion and freedom of expression in the arena of writing will be appreciated by the reading public, if you do have the ability to account for the benefits as well as the truth. Moreover, if your books are able to move the conscience of your readers and then create an opinion in the community. This is your success as an author, even your books can change the world's view. O Yes, why not?

After all, some of famous novels have changed the world's opinion. For example, "Uncle Tom's Cabin" by Harriet Beecher Stowe which told about cruelty of inhuman business of black people's enslavement. Not only America was shaken, but the worldwide also stunned to read a book that boldly open the sores in business with great advantages. One more example of the author's courage in exposing the hidden ugly facts, that is, when the French author, Emile Zola defended Alfred Dreyfus, a French military member who was thrown into prison for defamation case. Hearings on this horrendous case proved that Dreyfus was innocent. Therefore, he decided to open a scandal involving the key people in French military service in early 19th century. He wrote an open letter to the President through L'Aurore newspaper under the headline "J'accuse". The great novelist dared to risk going to jail for the sake of truth believed. And this was not in vain, because Alfred Dreyfus was later released. Imagine how great he was. Alone, armed only with pen and ink, Emile Zola managed to uncover the corruption scandal behind the shocking events.

Well, the footage stories about the courage of Harriet Beecher Stowe and Emile Zola are just two of thousands of brave authors scattered in various countries around the world. Everywhere, at all times, there will keep popping those who faithful to their conscience and convey their experiences, ideas, and what they feel through writing. For the sake of truth and justice, the authors are willing to face the risk of anything. They are heroes who do not expect anything but a gift of expression to their reader for lofty goals. And this is -- of course -- quite different from those who just want to take advantage of professional writing  for purposes related to self-interest.

Mmm ... you look like a famous celebrity, damn it! Ahahaa ... why do not you explain the continuous humiliation by Jews against Christians, hm? Or about Piss Christ, for example?

But I know one thing for sure, let's say you are ugly, then, are you ready to accept the fact, that you're so ugly? Yeah? And you are not angry? Yeah? But instead you thank the people who criticize you, assuming that it can be a good message to improve your appearance? Yeah? To be better, not to get angry because they say you're ugly ... ahahaa ... Yeah?
Similarly, I've been saying "I love you", but only in my heart. Ultimately, no one knows about it. It's the most safe action, is not it? ... Ehehee ... thus, even if there's any apocalypse in your heart, please do not tell them, okay? Your "Shhh" gesture in court was very enjoyable to be watched, but sure enough the gesture is not good for your authorial career, right? Shhh. Well, you will only be silent when you are dead, right? Shhh. Even in your dreams you will not be silent, right? Shhh. Well, hopefully forever God will always bless you, my handsome bald man. Shhh. Do not "shhh" me for this hope, okay? Shhh.
What? Shhh is very noisy, right?... ahahha ...

News Headlines (489) 15 April - 17 April 2014

ONLINE TODAY

15 April 2014 : Charm is your best friend today, so make sure that you're thinking it all through before you try to get anything from anyone. Your best bet is to hear them out before making your case. Your world's an orderly, balanced and bright one, and you're doing your part to keep it that way -- putting selfishness aside and enjoying giving just as much as you're delighting in receiving. This generous mood of yours also gives you an extra-sparkly charm factor, which won't go unnoticed by those around you (and may be noticed by one person in particular). Keep the cycle of good energy going, and get the most out of this special day.

16 April 2014 : Things are going on deep within you that you can't understand -- but you don't have to! You're in a really good position to make a difference when it comes to family or other group dynamics. Expect a few ego clashes to slow down your progress today -- and be grateful that time is not a big concern of yours right now. A drama is coming, but it will be a very entertaining one for you -- because you're not going to be a part of it. You get to sit on the sidelines, enjoying the game that other people are playing. It won't be too bloody, but it will be full of low blows and even a shocking revelation or two. Whenever people get together, the social dynamics can get complicated.

17 April 2014 : Your emotions are running the gamut from manically happy to down in the dumps and back again -- it can get exhausting! Try not to worry too much about where the roulette wheel ends up, though.

I'm sure almost all young women, middle-aged women and older women as well all gays will love the pictures of two handsome men above, ... ehhehee ... and no one asks me whether I also like them.

I will be happy to say, "Mark, I miss you. James, you seem a bit soppy. Your nails stripes look dirty, and it looks like you do not brush your teeth before going to bed ... ahahhaa... oops, one more thing, James, do not need to pose holding a mug that --- maybe --- it is an empty mug, because for me it is a reflection of pretense."

I really like the giant glass held by Mark. To me, it is a glass of togetherness. Some drinking straws can be dipped into it for later sucked up by some mouths, and how and what's in the glass looks so transparent. Mark also does not disturb a small insect behind his shoulder.

* 14 April 2014Will Putin Fall Victim to One of History's Classic Blunders? From Napoleon to Bush, there's good precedent on why it's a bad idea for Russia to invade eastern Ukraine. - By David C. Gompert , Hans Binnendijk

* 16 April 2014 : Putin Laughs at Your Sanctions. The United States needs to re-up its Cold War strategy if it wants to deter Russia in Ukraine. - By : Zalmay Khalilzad
Widely believed to be acting at the behest of Moscow, pro-Russian activists have seized government buildings in eastern Ukraine and prompted Kiev to carry out a limited set of military operations in the region. So far, the Ukrainian military has had little success dislodging pro-Russian forces, which for the most part appear unfazed. To bolster the Ukrainian government, the United States has unveiled a package of financial and economic sanctions directed at the Russian military and political establishment. Despite Moscow's vulnerabilities on this front, the threat of further economic retaliation has proven insufficient in deterring Moscow's aggression, as evidenced by the continued destabilization of eastern Ukraine. At the urging of the United States, the Ukrainian military has cautiously probed the positions of pro-Russian militants, while Washington has attempted to strike back at Moscow with financial sanctions. So far, that tactic has failed.

The Obama administration's decision to retaliate against Russia with financial and economic sanctions reflects a broader paradigm shift in U.S. deterrence strategy. Financial warfare is supplanting deterrence based on conventional military capabilities. However, events in Ukraine have exposed the risks of relying too heavily on financial instruments of power. Deterrence requires the United States to make clear that it will support Ukrainian military resistance to any further Russian intervention.

The administration's penchant for economic sanctions is understandable. Success in disrupting terrorist financing networks and in weakening rogue regimes has demonstrated the far-reaching toll that enhanced and fine-tuned sanctions can inflict in an interconnected global economy. At the same time, budget deficits at home and the costs of land wars in Afghanistan and Iraq have prompted policymakers to embrace more deployable, economical instruments. Recent progress with Iran has reinforced Washington's growing preference for financial warfare. Tehran claims that it came to the negotiating table in exchange for U.S. recognition of its right to enrich uranium, but the Obama administration credits crippling sanctions for the breakthrough.

Russia also seems like a good target for economic warfare: It's a sophisticated economic and energy power that depends on access to global financial markets and international financial institutions to advance its geopolitical ambitions. Moreover, U.S. diplomatic efforts since 9/11 aimed at enlisting Russia's cooperation in enforcing international financial sanctions have sensitized President Vladimir Putin, as well as the corrupt elites in his inner circle, to the devastating impact that these policies can have against target regimes. Today, the ruble is in decline, the Russian Micex Index is down more than 10 percent since the beginning of the year, and the World Bank is projecting a contraction in the Russian economy of up to 1.8 percent in 2014 due to geopolitical instability. Yet none of these realities is stopping the Kremlin from fomenting instability and threatening further incursions into Ukraine.

The shortcomings of economic sanctions don't by themselves suggest a need to downplay financial warfare in U.S. doctrine -- or even to enhance conventional capabilities. But they do demand that the United States calibrate its goals so that they match the capabilities it is realistically willing to deploy. The exact mix of financial and conventional military deterrence that must be brought to bear in any situation depends on what is at stake for the United States in the target country, and what is needed to secure important interests.

In the context of the Ukrainian crisis, the extent to which the Obama administration is relying on financial instruments relative to conventional military deterrence is creating an alarming gap between Washington's stated goals and the capabilities it is willing to employ to achieve them. Given Ukraine's proximity to Russia, sizable populations of ethnic Russians, and importance in Moscow's strategic priorities -- not to mention Russia's overwhelming military superiority over its neighbors -- deterring further Russian aggression against non-allied but important states in the post-Soviet space will require more than targeted sanctions.

Repeated assertions by President Barack Obama and other senior administration officials that a new Cold War is not on the horizon, while true at a global level, downplay the degree to which the renewed U.S.-Russian rivalry will resemble U.S.- Soviet competition on a regional scale. Throughout the Cold War, Moscow exerted enormous pressure on states on its periphery, as well as on states in the third world that fell outside the orbit of formal U.S. alliances. The West's victory in the Cold War stemmed, in large part, from Washington's success in deterring Soviet aggression against front-line states without deploying U.S. forces into combat. The United States convinced Stalin to back down in Iran in 1946, freed Austria from partial Soviet occupation in 1955, strengthened Israel's defenses against Soviet-aligned Arab states, and shielded Pakistan during the Soviet occupation of Afghanistan.

The Cold War formula for defending front-line states involved a mix of political engagement, military sales and cooperation, and economic support through trade agreements and foreign aid. Even with the benefit of new sanctions capabilities, a similar playbook is necessary to prevent further Russian moves against Ukraine and other front-line states such as Georgia, as well as against U.S. partners in the Caucuses and Central Asia.

The greatest political challenge the United States faces in Ukraine is unifying the country's diverse communities. Important elements of the Party of Regions, the party led by ousted President Viktor Yanukovych, and Ukraine's Russian-speaking communities oppose the annexation of Crimea and Putin's heavy-handed intervention in Ukrainian affairs. U.S. and European engagement with these elements could help facilitate political inclusion under a decentralized system of government. A parallel process to integrate Ukraine into Western institutions such as the EU would incentivize cooperation of between the country's various factions.

On the military side, the Obama administration's decision to reject Kiev's initial requests for anti-tank and other weapons was a mistake. Instead, the United States should supply Ukraine with the materiel and training it needs to resist a Russian military intervention, and should persuade its allies to do the same. The White House, however, has calculated that the infusion of arms into Ukraine could escalate the crisis and undermine the prospects of a settlement with Russia. In fact, Moscow is more likely to negotiate if Putin recognizes the costs of pressing Russian claims militarily.

Despite legitimate concerns over its readiness, the Ukrainian military, even in its current state, can make use of more weapons. As Sen. John McCain (R-AZ) has assessed, the Ukrainian military needs infantry rifles, a training regimen, and anti-tank and anti-aircraft weapons. To determine the precise size of a multi-year package of arms sales and assistance, the Obama administration should send a team to assess the capabilities Ukraine would need to wage a successful insurgency against an invading Russian army.

Finally, Ukraine cannot realize its economic potential without long-term assistance. The initial package of International Monetary Fund and bilateral assistance will allow Ukraine to weather the immediate crisis. A medium- and long-term effort to diversify the country's energy sources, establish a credible economic reform program, and facilitate Ukrainian exports to Western markets, will require sustained Western cooperation with Kiev. Western influence in Ukraine will be contingent on the United States' willingness to compete with Russia's extensive economic influence in the country.

Without this kind of front-line state strategy, non-NATO member states could become victims of Putin's drive for Russian imperial restoration. But if Washington reawakens to the spirit of the Cold War strategy of deterrence, it could set the conditions for a new regional stability. Hardening the new government in Kiev against Russian destabilization, over time, would allow Ukraine to shoulder more of the burden of deterring Russia. And Moscow, in turn, would be more likely to conclude that further aggression against its neighbors is too risky a gamble.

AUTOS & VEHICLE : The Titanic Rebuild 2016. As a way of drawing attention to one's election campaign, it is -- if nothing else -- unique. Clive Palmer, one of Australia's wealthiest businessmen, has unveiled plans to build a replica of the Titanic, which he hopes will sail from England to New York in 2016. He has also announced he is standing for federal parliament in the seat held by the deputy prime minister and treasurer.

In separate press conferences on Monday, the mining billionaire first surprised the political world by declaring he would be contesting the Labor politician Wayne Swan's seat in parliament. Hours later, Palmer managed to outdo himself by announcing a second shock bid: this time to harness the latest technology and build Titanic II. "It will be every bit as luxurious as the original Titanic but of course it will have state-of-the-art 21st-century technology and the latest navigation and safety systems," he said. News Headlines (464) 1 March - 5 March 2014

ONLINE TODAY

1 March 2014 : Your energy is meant to be shared today -- in fact, you are better off helping others than trying to take care of your own business. See if you can get a friend to admit they need your help. That emotional mood you were in yesterday hasn't gone anywhere just yet. You want to sit down with the person you love best and tell them all about it. So what's the problem? They'll be delighted, and you know it. If you're afraid of getting hurt, try to figure out where that's coming from. Chances are it's something from the past -- not the present -- that's convinced you revealing your feelings makes you emotionally vulnerable.

3 March 2014 :  Try something new and exciting today -- your energy is pushing you to new heights. It's a good time for you to explore new territory or to find new ways to do what you love. It's easy!

5 March 2014 : Your hard work finally pays off -- and this may be just the first installment. It's a good day for you to relax a bit as you prepare for the next phase of your big plan. Get back to it soon, though! Every now and then, everything just falls into place with only the slimmest effort on your part. See what happens when you go with the flow today, rather than trying to force things to happen exactly the way you want them to. If you go for it immediately, you bypass all the pleasurable anticipation. Since victory is already pretty much a foregone conclusion, you should let it linger.

"Life is a short day; but it is a working day. Activity may lead to evil, but inactivity cannot lead to good."Hannah More

"The end of all knowledge should be in virtuous action."Philip Sydney

Summary of media coverage :
What is now happening in Ukraine is a form of war for influence between the EU and Russian / Eurasian Union to Ukraine. Both have strategic interests in Ukraine. For Russia, Ukraine is a former old brother, as a former member of the Soviet Union in addition to its position as a crucial buffer state of Russia.

Russian Federation under the command of Vladimir Putin aggressively rebuild its superpowers. One among them is to embrace the whole ex Soviet countries in new power dressing which called the Eurasian Union, the EU counter block.

Meanwhile,  for the EU, both political and military, joining of Ukraine can help to stem and weaken Russian influence in continental Europe. In the economic sector, the EU wants to leverage the potential of Ukraine in restoring the economic crisis in the EU.

Under President Viktor Yanukovych (who is more inclined to Russia), Ukraine has chosen to join the arms of Russia, after Russia promised Ukraine with economic aid, cheap gas and so on. EU who do not want to be embarrassed by the Russian move quickly in any way to thwart the decision of Yanukovych. Not long after, there was a large scale demonstrations and unrest in Ukraine, especially the West and North (pro-EU). European Strike Back succeed. Yanukovych overthrown and government controlled by the faction backed by the West. Putin reacted quickly. It seemed, on the face of the West, he no longer wanted to appear to fail.

Half of the Russian military forces deployed along the borders of Ukraine: 150 thousand troops, 90 combat aircraft, 880 tanks, 80 warships and thousands of artilery. A fantastic show of force. President Putin is really serious.

Besides the military, Russia also launched a counterattack by supporting pro-Russian demonstrations in the region of Eastern Ukraine and the autonomous region of Crimea peninsula. Special to Crimea, Russian is very protective because there is Sevastopol which becomes the base of Russia's Black Sea Fleet. Russian forces moved quickly to occupy strategic locations in Crimea, such as airport and Ukraine Air Force Anti - missile bases.

Crimea peninsula is an autonomous region of Ukraine which is located on the north side of the Black Sea coast, inhabited by 2 million people, ethnic Russians accounted for 60 % of the total population, the remaining 25 % of ethnic Ukrainians and 12 % ethnic Crimean Tatars.

The leader of the Crimea and much of the population to provide support in Russia and potentially stands to be its own country, separated from the Ukraine. What happened in the Ukrainian - Russian border, the Crimean Peninsula, support in the Eastern and Southern regions of Ukraine quite made temporary leader of Ukraine -- Oleksandr Turchynov  -- finally asked Russia to stop this provocation. If this action was continued, then it would be considered as an aggression.

There is a potential Civil War between Western Ukraine and Eastern Ukraine. The next concern is, "Can the pro-Western Ukrainian declare war on Russia? Will the European Union or NATO intervene and help Ukraine politically and direct military?"

If the first option is done by Ukraine, it is certain: there will be a conventional war.

Ukraine's internal conditions after riot is not stable, very prone to win the war with Russia. Clash with Pro Russia Ukraine can split Ukraine, as experienced by Georgia.

If the EU / NATO directly come into play, then the head to head between the two great powers is inevitable. Cold War can turn into World War III.

EU which is slumped and highly dependent on Russian gas supplies can more quickly toward the brink of collapse, and Russia can disrupt its entire big plans.

Ukraine tempest is an asymmetric war, a war to overthrow a legitimate government. Can Asymmetric War in Ukraine be a Symmetrical War (Conventional)? Let's monitor it. But I am very sure, to deal with Russia, the EU and the U.S. certainly will not dare to act rashly by directly sending their military forces.

MIKHAIL KHODORKOVSKY

GLOBAL POST 4 March 2014 : Khodorkovsky ready to go to Ukraine 'to help prevent bloodshed'
KYIV POST 4 March 2014 : Khodorkovsky says is ready to go to Ukraine to prevent escalation of conflict
WALL STREET JOURNAL 4 March 2014 : Khodorkovsky Offers to Mediate in Ukraine
Former Russian oil tycoon Mikhail Khodorkovsky, who spent a decade in prison in Russia, offered Monday to travel to Ukraine to try to help resolve the spiralling conflict there. "I declare that I am ready to travel to any location in Ukraine at any time at the invitation of any responsible actor in order to help prevent bloodshed," Khodorkovsky said in a statement.

The 50-year-old, who currently lives at a Zurich hotel after he was pardoned and released from prison last December, said he believed "the presence of independent and internationally-known individuals in Ukraine at this time could help prevent the escalation of the conflict."

His comments came as the former Soviet state accused Russia of pouring more troops into Crimea -- a strategic Black Sea peninsula with a majority ethnic Russian population -- and as world leaders grappled with Europe's worst standoff since the Cold War.

Khodorkovsky, once Russia's richest man, was jailed in 2003 for fraud and tax evasion in what his supporters say was Russian President Vladimir Putin's revenge against him for financing the political opposition and openly criticising the Russian leader.

"As a result of the incompetent actions of politicians, we find ourselves on the brink of being involved in a civil war in Ukraine," Khodorkovsky said. He also warned of "many tragedies, including for millions of Russian-Ukrainian families, and extremely grave consequences for our nation's domestic situation and international standing."

"I have family and friends who are Ukrainians. Just as it is for others, for me this is a family affair," he said.

EDUCATION : The Crimean War. The Crimean War (October 1853 - February 1856) was a conflict between the Russian Empire and an alliance of the French Empire, the British Empire, the Ottoman Empire. The war was part of a long-running contest between major European powers for influence over territories of the declining Ottoman Empire. It is sometimes considered to be one of the first "modern" wars as it "introduced technical changes which affected the future course of warfare", including the first tactical use of railways and the electric telegraph. The Crimean War was one of the first wars to be documented extensively in written reports and photographs: notably by William Russell (for The Times newspaper). News from war correspondents reaching Britain from the Crimea kept the public informed of the day-to-day realities of the battlefield for the first time. Russia does not invade the Ukraine, you know! Funny if Western nations ignore the aggression of fascist elements, neo-Nazi and extremist in Ukraine but then they accuse Russia invades the Crimean peninsula. I doubt the status of the group that can be called "The new leadership of Ukraine" in terms of legitimacy and law. The cause of the situation in Ukraine is the result of domestic developments initiated by the extremists. Whatever they say, we can see: Putin has not given a sign on his finger to exert Russian military forces in the Crimea, including Russian navy. Although the Russian parliament has agreed to deploy the armed forces in the Crimea, but the decision to use military force has not been taken. Putin is not Obama, you know! And I do not see any war in Vladimir Putin's eyes this year.

"Thank you for your perception! I like your romantic side, even if I do not always comment and I'm glad that you're in my circle of friends."
(Courtesies by: Wolfgang A. Gerhardt)

Wolfgang A.Gerhardt : May be you like this Sunday collage

Cisca Zarmansyah : Before today, there never was a person doing this to me. You create a simple matter to look special. This is a special thing for me.

Cisca Zarmansyah : Thank you. I love it. I love you, my friend.

CieL- FreYa Ceastle : Hmm, he's so nice...

"I am me.
In all the world,
there is no one else exactly like me.
Everything that comes out of me
is authentically mine,
because I alone chose it --
I own everything about me:
my body,
my feelings,
my mouth,
my voice,
all my actions,
whether they be to others or myself.
I own my fantasies,
my dreams,
my hopes,
my fears.
I own my triumphs and successes,
all my failures and mistakes.
Because I own all of me,
I can become intimately acquainted with me.
By so doing,
I can love me
and be friendly with all my parts.
I know there are aspects about myself that puzzle me,
and other aspects that I do not know
-- but as long as I am friendly
and loving to myself,
I can courageously and hopefully
look for solutions
to the puzzles and ways
to find out more about me.
However I look and sound,
whatever I say and do,
and whatever I think and feel at a given moment in time
is authentically me.
If later some parts of how I looked,
sounded,
thought,
and felt
turn out to be unfitting,
I can discard that which is unfitting,
keep the rest,
and invent something new
for that which I discarded.
I can see,
hear,
feel,
think,
say, and do.
I have the tools to survive,
to be close to others,
to be productive,
and to make sense
and order out of the world of people
and things outside of me.
I own me,
and therefore,
I can engineer me.
I am me,
and I am okay."
