► Today's African Proverb : "When the bush is on fire, grasshoppers have no time to say goodbye to each other" - Sent by Ustaz Ajack Dengrip, Aweil, South Sudan
True. I am deeply touched by the word "Good bye". It sounds quite polite, but it's also powerful enough to kill a person's self confidence.
...On that night he said that he would just go to sleep. Sleep. Just sleep? Why was he sleeping too deep and long? Why did he not say any message before he just went to sleep? Words of Goodbye, at least? Well, Times have said, "No time." So, a tentative conclusion: An event has a speed faster than the speed of time when it comes to us. And a conclusion (rather permanent): An event has a speed longer to leave our memories than the speed of time. So, a final conclusion: Time is not everything.
Oh dear, why do you always wrap your words with your Blue Blanket? See, the grasshoppers were not dead, Cisca! They were just trying to save themselves, respectively, so they did not have time to say goodbye to each other. That's it. All survived and each one of them did not care about each other anymore. One important thing is each one of them has survived. What's the point for us to be together but eventually we die together? Come on, each of us, jump! Hop-hop-hop! Done. Bye! When will we meet again? Could we?
