In chaos cross of this life, humans need the foothold in thinking and acting. There're decisions to be taken, but sometimes doesn't choose is the option itself. Currently I'm trying to understand the truth of human in general, regardless of the truth that requires a different holistic approach.
Humans live and evolve. Human beings are personal and social, there's ego and its environment. When humans begin to make the rules which are originally to maintain harmony between private rights and obligations, between humans or with the environment, that's where the emergence of ethics, rules and then develop into law.
Since then the truth history is begun. When something is contrary to the ethics rules and laws, then it's said as wrong. But when it doesn't make a conflict, then it's "allowed" to be said as true. But how far the ethical or legal basis can be recognized so that we can justify anything?
In this case we need to be careful. Do we need to justify or enough to think wisely and understand a problem without justification? As humans, we sometimes aren't in a position to judge anything. Probably because there's no friction of interests, or even we don't know the information or complete knowledge about that. Sometimes, silent but physically still think clearly about it is a wise choice.
To determine the truth of things must contain elements of a logical and coherent. There's empirical evidence or facts that can reinforce the truth. But how if there are manipulative facts or facts distortion? This is where we must make an assessment of these matters, when it's needed. If not, then the depth of truth must be done wisely. The law is written by the truth, then below it is the final truth and ethics perspective. So we must stand from sources that are relevant to determine the truth of something.
Truth stands on facts or physical reality. When people talk about facts, then later comes the mental interpretation or facts interpretation that can vary its kind. They can contain the truth. But more difficult is when we don't know the facts or realities that actually happen. What emerges is a shadow of facts, or even the physical facts are never there, but "is held".
Various interests in reality also can make the truth manipulation. There are several modes in manipulating the truth. The first is by playing logic. The second is to divert focus. Third is perspective taking, and the fourth is manipulation of the facts upon the facts.
In a practical studies, manipulation plays anywhere by many authorities in this world. Globalization makes the information flow so swift, so anyone who holds control over the information can "make the truth". The simplest example is when nearly 80% of Americans support the war on Iraq, because the government makes the propaganda that is able to lead its people's views, that the Iraqi government is feasible eradicated with the reasons that seemed to make sense, but actually it contains the defect of facts, logic and the sovereign nations principles.
Once we learn the mind basics and the possibilities that exist, then perhaps we can determine the truth. Because sometimes the truth is too complex for the community and us, even to the truth itself. We must remember that there may be the truth outside ours. We can't judge ourselves or our group as the most correct. Maybe we need to determine the truth or may not be necessary. Maybe we need to fight for the truth itself, maybe not. Next, it's up to you.
