True. At least, Obama is willing to say "As-salamu alaykum" to Muslims. His diplomacy still looks pretty enough for Russia and China, as well as Iran, Afghanistan, Iraq, and Syria.
It is wrong to expect the U.S. economy will be normal in an instant. (Remember what Bush did to the United States and the American people. Even if Romney was elected, he would not be able to prove his campaign promises in the next 4 years.)
So much else, Obama never pointed his finger at Bush. I see Obama is polite and quite ethical. At least he still has the qualities of a statesman, more than just the leader.
Congratulations Mr. Obama. Now I know what to do : Ready to get married to my partner.
My partner oh my partner. My oh my, he who has been with me for almost 8 years; who is always full of understanding to all my weaknesses; who is very patient with my childishness; who has always been a dry ice (NOTE: be cool but ready to burn) when he is burned by his jealousy fire to another man; who has perfected my life as a woman with this pregnancy and now I am a mother in this vast world, for once in my life, and for all the things I can't mention one by one here; including his extraordinary attention to pay off some of my bills, ehhehehe, "I'll marry you dahling, whoever the president of the United States in the 2012 election.
inmylittlehouseinyourbighouseandinourhomesweethome, you are my president. And I feel we do not need anymore for honeymooners, Mr President!
Now my will is in your hands. Still want to marry me? I would gladly surrender to you....uh uh uuuh but... later, ok? ... after I give birth to our baby in a few weeks. And maybe after that I will ask your permission to take him/her to see my mom. May I? Love yahh...

Prolonged conflict between the military and ethnic groups has fueled an increase in opium production.
In the middle of the echo democracies hit Myanmar, this country faces a pretty dangerous threat. Myanmar is now one of the major producers of opium.
It was marked by a drastic increase in the total area of poppy crops (raw opium) throughout Myanmar, revealed from the latest report of United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) some time ago. According to the report, in the past year, poppy lands ---in the country formerly known as Burma-- were increased by about 17%.
In 2011, the poppy crop has reached almost 40 thousand hectares. Within just 10 months, the total area of opium crops soared to 51 thousand hectares. Remarkable improvement was completely unexpected by many countries, including the United Nations.
The increase in poppy land area (which has the scientific name Papaver somniferum) in Myanmar occurs along with increased opium production in the Golden Triangle region for opium producers. Region covering Thailand, Laos, and Myanmar has long been known as a storehouse of opium in Southeast Asia.
Poppy cultivation in the Golden Triangle has jumped since 2006. In region, if in 2006 poppy crop land area has reached 21,600 hectares, in 2012 increased to 51 thousand hectares. With these figures, opium crop has increased by 136%.
Related to poppy in Myanmar, the problem is not limited to an increase in crop acreage. According to UNODC, poppy plants spread throughout Myanmar's region is also included more than 30 thousand inhabitants until now.
In this regard, the United Nations said the expansion of opium crops as a form of Myanmar government's failure under President Thein Sein in law enforcement related to the opium eradication. Myanmar Authorities failing to control the expansion of poppy plants. UN said Myanmar's government no longer has the ability to perform the functions of state against opium. In fact, Myanmar is pushing the wheels of democracy.
Now the country of 48 million people has been contributing 25% of total poppy crop land worldwide. If we look at the breadth of poppy crop, Myanmar has become the second-largest opium producer's country after Afghanistan, whereas previously Myanmar has promised and has the plans for poppy crop eradication for 15 years until 2014. Apparently, the facts on the ground are contradictory. "The number of poppy crops continued to rise and walk in the wrong direction," said Gary Lewis.
Currently, the Myanmar government is at a crossroads. If the transition to democracy will lead to failure, Myanmar will fall into the abyss of destabilization, particularly the political conflict and rebellion that involve a number of ethnic groups. On the one hand, the demand for heroin (produced from the extract of opium) in Asia has increased significantly since last year. China, for example, has one million registered heroin users. By doing so, the temptation to expand the opium crop is huge.
Related to this, if the Myanmar government is not able to control the production of opium, a step towards democracy will surely be destabilized. Inevitably, uncontrolled opium production encourage the criminal groups. The groups will control and regulate the opium trade routes in Myanmar region to the world. They will often fight to fight over territory as happened in Mexico and other Central American region. Such conditions are extremely dangerous to surrounding countries.
The UN admits, conflict between the military and armed ethnic groups also trigger the growth of opium production in Myanmar. Since the prolonged conflict between the army and ethnic Shan and Kachin raging, land for poppy crops continues to expand. To get the capital to buy the weapons, the rebel tribes cultivate poppy crops. Besides easy to plant, opium prices are also very high. Anti-government groups are competing to earn easy money by selling their opium commodities. Not surprisingly, in less than a year the poppy crop has increased rapidly.
Various factors that lead to an increase in poppy crop in Myanmar will be more difficult for the countries of Southeast Asia are being intensively to combat opium circulation.
Restoration Council of the Shan country that has signed an agreement with UNODC will create a module for the transformation of agriculture, including agricultural substitution opium with other crops. Previously, UNODC warns declining commodity prices and instability Myanmar will tempt farmers to return poppy flower farm that its extracts used as Opium. For poor farmers, farming poppy flowers can bring benefits to 19 times compared to plant rice.
Although Myanmar government has signed a series of agreements, it is not enough to convince farmers to stop growing poppy. "We need stability, so we can provide an alternative," said a Myanmar official who handles the drugs issue. "Substitution of fields is one of many approaches. But you can not just swap poppy with corn". The ideal thing -- according to him -- is an integrated approach to food security, education, healthcare, roads and irrigation.
It is estimated, during this year Myanmar's total production reach 690 thousand tons with an estimated value of approximately U.S. $ 359 million. Last year the amount of Myanmar's national production was estimated 610 thousand tons.
"The number of opium continues to unexpected direction, "said Gary Lewis in Bangkok, Thailand two weeks ago." When the farmers are not given and have an alternative legitimacy on food security and reduce the debt, they will continue to grow poppy, "he said.
Myanmar government has targeted 2014 as opium-free year. To support this target, this year the Myanmar government has pledged to eradicate poppy fields up to 24 thousand hectares. When it is compared with previous year, poppy fields destroyed was 7000 hectares. That was still not enough to reduce the level of opium production.
"Destruction can't work alone. As long as you don't stop the illegal opium production, the production will continue to run. The solution is economic development," said Pierre Arnaud Chouvy, the author of Opium: uncovering the Politics of the Poppy. "It's very simple and at the same time is very complex, says Chouvy." This is a simple matter of the state, but it is very difficult to implement a solution."
