► 16 July 2015 :You're waiting for someone to say the wrong word today so you can pounce on them in defense of your position. You're probably unaware of your true motives; you're not even conscious of how intense you sound now. Although you are more bark than bite, people still might take your intensity at face value. There's little to gain by protecting your boundaries from imaginary enemies. Lowering your voice and letting others speak is a simple yet straightforward way to realign the tense dynamics. Take a deep breath and count to ten before you act in anger.
► 17 July 2015 : You might receive a rude awakening if you think your past accomplishments will be enough to let you slide by without having to do much real work today. It's true that wishful thinking can be a very effective tool for self-motivation but, unfortunately, your current confidence isn't necessarily based on reality. Creating a best-case scenario in your imagination won't automatically improve your life. Instead of resting on your laurels, visualize the potential at stake now and invest the sweat equity required to make something special happen. You reap what you sow.
► 18 July 2015 : You thrive on the unpredictable nature of the day as mischievous Mercury spars with unorthodox Uranus. Your love of spontaneity works well with the current uncertainty since circumstances can suddenly shift without warning. Thankfully, an electric burst of energy could send shockwaves through your romantic life that start your heart rocking and rolling again. Don't let pride stand in your way. Tell others exactly what you want today; you have no idea what magic is possible unless you try.
► 19 July 2015 : Your Sunday routine may not include going to church, but it's a perfect day to reconnect with your spiritual path in a way that resonates with your heart. Fortunately, you won't necessarily have to go anywhere special if you take time for your own brand of worship today. Prayer comes in many shapes and sizes; you don't have to fit your practices into anyone else's religious box. As the renowned theologian Matthew Fox said, "It doesn't matter where you dig the well. You reach the same water."
► 20 July 2015 : Sorry, Aries, you need to save your daydreaming for the night since concentrating on your work needs to be your top priority today. Spacey Neptune is like a fly in your ointment, captivating you with fascinating visions that have no practical use in the present moment. Even if you wish you could extend your weekend, it's prudent to get an early start and finish your tasks before others have a reason to complain. You might grumble a bit at first, but you will be much happier later on if you're free to pursue your dreams without worrying about chores left undone.
► 21 July 2015 : You're willing to work extra hard today in order to solidify your recent progress. Nevertheless, it's nearly impossible to completely override your natural tendency to rush into action. However, your impatience could jeopardize all that you have gained. Maintain a methodical pace and execute the proper follow-through to reach your goals. You don't have to gamble with your future now if you plan your course of action without expecting to change everything all at once. It may be a bitter pill to swallow at first, but sometimes slow and steady wins the race.
► 22 July 2015 : You might try a more cautious approach to sharing your feelings today, but you could be stressing over the wrong things. Instead of wasting time trying to guess how others will react to your emotional disclosure, just let the cards fall where they may. Your impatience can interfere with whatever stability you have already gained. But even if you feel stuck with no clear direction, there's no need to force progress now. Relationship dynamics will make more sense soon enough if you can relax your expectations and enjoy the present moment.
► 23 July 2015 : Expressing yourself honestly grows more complicated when you're concerned about protecting someone else's feelings. You're bursting at the seams today; your creativity is like a fireworks display that commands attention. You've been waiting for this moment and you want to put on a show that everyone will remember. Although you're running on sheer adrenaline and pure inspiration, you may still experience a bit of stage fright. Thankfully, your courage will outweigh any last-minute doubts. Take a few deep breaths and shine like the star you are.
► 24 July 2015 : You prefer to be in full control of your fate, but you could easily spend more time responding to external situations today than manifesting your own events. You depend on people for their well-honed skills and the resources they bring to the table, but they also expect certain things in return from you. Fortunately, creating your own personal destiny is still possible as long as you take the needs of others into consideration in the process. Developing compassion enables you to maximize your potential in ways you never imagined.
► 25 July 2015 : Your outrageous actions might be shocking today as revolutionary Uranus electrifies your key planet Mars. But you could lose your credibility if you rattle the cage at home just to generate a reaction. Your creative energy is irrepressible and you're willing to push the envelope, but something or someone may be blocking your inner artist from running free. If change needs to occur now, then your radical behavior is worth the ensuing drama it provokes. But if you're just looking for an adrenaline rush, hold onto your horses because the risk won't be worth the reward.
► 26 July 2015 : No matter how serious your intentions are today, it's too soon to say whether or not you'll be successful at getting much accomplished. You can be quite the convincing salesperson now, but you may be as good at fooling yourself as you are at misleading others. If someone accepts your over-the-top expectations as the truth, you might have to face the music when the facts are discovered. A wiser approach is to be completely realistic now so you don't have to backtrack and revise your story later. Full disclosure is the best policy.
► 27 July 2015 : You're on a roll, talking up a storm with everyone you meet. Your enthusiasm is stimulated by your lofty visions of the future as the fiery Sagittarius Moon inspires you to aim for the stars. Unfortunately, you could easily overextend your reach, lose your balance and fall off your unicorn. It's not easy to gain mastery of your own energy when you're so passionate about life, but it's certainly worth the effort. It's amazing what magic you can create with a little fairy dust and the right attitude.
► 28 July 2015 : You may be so jazzed about a new project that you're off and running today, even if you don't have a plan in place yet. However, your exhilaration won't last long unless you develop a sensible strategy. A reassessment of your resources is the first step to getting your dreams off the ground. Luckily, you can remain idealistic now without losing your footing. However, balancing your optimism with realism is not enough; once you have your angle figured out, you must also initiate action and be willing to follow through on whatever you start.
► 29 July 2015 : There is so much emotional noise today, it's nearly impossible to process all that's going on. You might not be very receptive to conflicting messages because you are afraid of being sidetracked by someone else's agenda. Meanwhile, you're defending your right to maintain your individuality because you're on your own mission. Nevertheless, there isn't as much at stake as you think, so pick your battles carefully before you find yourself in the middle of an unnecessary argument. Take the high road and strike out on your own.
► 30 July 2015 : You can push boundaries without even realizing it when you are keyed up about something new. However, today's enthusiasm might be a bit misdirected as assertive Mars is misaligned with delusional Neptune. The problem is your favorite idea may not be as brilliant as you think. Don't be so cocky that you stubbornly try to defend an incorrect assumption or an unrealistic goal. Be patient and review your plans one more time; haste makes waste.
► 31 July 2015 : You want to shout your opinions from the rooftop today as the Aquarius Full Moon lights up your 11th House of Networking. But you're not too concerned about what anyone else thinks now because you're sure that your perspective is the right one. Although your plan might work out just fine, your words still could sound more aggressive than you actually feel. Garner support by toning down your message and acknowledging the validity of alternate approaches. Create an environment where everyone can be a winner, not just you.
I remember our first meeting, in front of a bookstore in a very posh mall in your city. I saw the announcement on the Internet. There was a book launch. You became a speaker at the event. I was so blind and hated this city. That afternoon, I ventured to come alone. I wanted to meet you. Shortly after the event was over, I bought your poetry book which had just been published. Not just because I really wanted it, but I hopes that it could be a reason to be able to talk to you. Really, I was very nervous at that time. I stood in the corner, saw you serving people who were asking for your autograph and took pictures with you. I did not bring a camera. I didn't have it, the exactly thing was. I waited until the remaining one person who asked for an autograph, then I came to you. My hands trembled when thrusting your book to be signed. You asked me, while you stared at my face. "To whom?"
When I mentioned my real name, you looked surprised and turned to hug me. I was more surprised and more nervous. You said you had read some of my poems in newspapers and you loved it. At that time you made time and asked me to talk about poetry, also invited me to stay in your home. The first meeting on a beautiful afternoon, dahling. Our second meeting was when you and I were both invited to read a poem, also a poet of France in the same group. We read poetry and recorded by two video cameras. I was the last. You were the first. Nights later, along with several poets from other countries, we often met. I got a turn to read poetry on the third night, you were on the last night. I was nervous reading poetry in front of you. I remembered, one of the poems you read was poetry that I mentioned in my letter. I carried a camera at that time. I borrowed my friend's camera. I had some of your pictures. After that event, we met several times. I was happy to talk more things at the time. I fell in love with your simplicity and your familiarity, even to people who were just learning to write poetry, like me. Thank you, dahling.
I once wrote a poem inspired by your poetry. About the shadow of an old man in one afternoon. He walked with shadows in one evening, asking in doubt, " Do I make the shadow or the shadow shorten me?" It was a four-line bad poem. Forgive me, dahling. Thank you for continuing to write a lot of poetry to the world and our life. I learn a lot of your poems. Take care of your health. Best regards - Your partner.

► SCIENCE & TECHNOLOGY : This past spring I spent more time chasing storms on the plains than ever before. The most I had spent prior to this was seven total days and that was last year. What I came away with from that short time made me realize that if I could double that...the stuff I could capture would be amazing. Of course I long to be out there for a month or longer, but when you live in Phoenix and have a wife and three kids...you have to be realistic.
I turned 40 years old this year and I told my wife all I wanted was 10 days chasing on the plains. She loves me though and it ended up being 14! Two days in April and then 12 straight days from May 23rd - June 3rd. Those 12 days were absolutely incredible. I'm friends with other chasers via social media, met them on the side of roads while chasing, even grabbed dinner together...but never have I felt more of a part of the chaser community than being out there for almost two weeks. Living the life...seeing the same amazing chasers over and over...it was overwhelming to me. I missed my family, it was hard at times, but it was one of the best experiences of my life.
Both chases originated from where I live in Arizona. In April I drove out all night to Colorado, slept maybe an hour, chased all day, got a good night's sleep, chased the next day in the Texas panhandle and drove home that same night, stopping only for a quick nap in New Mexico. The second chase was the same. Left Phoenix late on the evening of May 22nd, never really slept and the chase was on the next day. All in all I drove well over 12,000 miles over the course of those two weeks, visited 10 total states (New Mexico, Texas, Kansas, Oklahoma, Colorado, Nebraska, South Dakota, Wyoming, Montana and North Dakota) and shot over 45,000 frames of footage for this film.
I have many people to thank. Pat O'Brien for being my first private tour attendee this spring. Mike Mezeul II for one very big tip on a spot above Rapid City, SD. To James Langford who not only guided me to that spot over the phone, but "now-casted" for me many, many times. I may have missed out on four crucial clips in this film if it wasn't for him suggesting I punch the core in South Dakota. Thank you sir. And to my pal Andy Hoeland...who was with me for over a week of my time out there, driving, looking at forecasts, talking to weather experts and always helping us have a great target for that day. He's become my chase partner for most of these big plains trips and I wouldn't have it any other way.
Also thanks to Cinetics for sending me their Axis 360 to play with. I used it one time in this film and wish I had used it more. I love that scene.
Finally...above everyone else, of course...is my wife. To let me go for that long, to never complain, to never discourage me...but to only believe in me...how could I be so lucky to deserve a wife like that? We have three kids and that's tough on a parent to have her husband away that long. It will never cease to amaze me that I would not be here, doing this, if it wasn't for her support and encouragement.
Technical details...everything was shot on Canon 5D3's, along with an array of Rokinon lenses. I got sick of lens-twisting (mostly of FORGETTING to lens twist) so I mainly used those manual lenses on this trip. Everything was processed using LR Timelapse, Lightroom, After Effects and Premiere Pro.
I'm in absolute love with this film. The stuff I saw rivaled anything I've ever seen on the plains minus that insane Booker supercell in 2013. We saw four tornadoes (one of them appears in a deleted scene at the very end of the film), countless supercells, gorgeous shelf clouds, stunning mammatus and some awesome lightning shows. The song..well, the song for this film blew my mind. I loved it when I heard it, but then seeing how everything started coming together on the timeline, the pace, the slow build-up, the huge ending...I've said it before, but the song is 50% of the film. Thank you again Kerry for everything!
All this movie does it fuel me to want to do better next year and this summer in Arizona. Stay tuned for Monsoon II and for The Chase II next spring!
I sincerely hope you enjoy and share this film around. Thank you! Published on Jul 22, 2015 by Mike Olbinski

"Be happy for this moment. This moment is your life." ─ Omar Khayyam
There's poignancy behind the elegance of Taj Mahal. Taj Mahal was built by Mughal's empire under the reign of Shah Jahan as a mausoleum in memory of his beloved wife, Mumtaz Mahal, who died while giving birth. Jeweled building was completed in about 1647 and its location in Agra city is a monument which was then considered to be the most impressive example of Mughal architecture. This mausoleum also has survived the invasion of Jat people as well as British colonial during the Indian Mutiny in 1857. Then Taj Mahal restored and fitted with scaffolding so that it was protected from bomb attacks in World War II. Many theories have recently claimed that Taj was designed not as a symbol of deep feelings of love, but rather as a map on the interpretation of Judgment Day by Sufi version, mysticism in Islam. Taj Mahal building also can't be separated from the family feud, since shortly after the construction was completed, Shah Jahan was deposed and imprisoned by his own son, but the son finally completed his devotion as a child to bury his father beside Mumtaz. The beauty of the Taj Mahal requires 22 years to be completed. During that time, the construction was done by no less than 20,000 people and 1,000 elephants. The magnificent dome nearly 200 feet tall is actually a dome in the dome, sphere of outer frame is larger than the inside. Therefore, if the exterior dome visible from the inside, its symmetry will look imperfect. Taj's peak designed with a shape like a lotus flower. Ornate sarcophagus on display for visitors to the Taj Mahal is actually empty. And the original tomb placed in the basement, hidden. Taj can be visited after dark, on a full moon night and two days before and afterward. On Fridays and during Ramadan, the mausoleum is closed. Indian poet, Rabindranath Tagore, described the Taj Mahal as a "teardrop on the face of time". However, the Taj is now facing the most dangerous threat: environmental degradation. Taj Mahal stands on the edge of Yamuna river which dries slowly. The shrinking of Yamuna river's water level accelerates the wood decay that supporting its structure, so that it is feared can collapse at any time.
