"On the nones of June, the Sun was covered by the Moon and night." ▬ Refers to eclipse of 21 June 400 BC [MARCUS TULLIUS CICERO; Quoted in Encyclopedia Britannica CD 98]
Pranay Suresh : When the moon will be at the Umbra.
Jan Pepijn Servaas : Did you see this event directly from the sky above your head?
Pranay Suresh : Nope. Unfortunately we currently have some coverages in other places. The longest 100 minutes in 100 years.... arrrggh
Jan Pepijn Servaas : Have you ever heard of a linkage between the moon eclipses and human libido?
Pranay Suresh : I sort of forgot, but I can see the moon's power can affect the mind. It can inspire a lot of things to certain people.
Jan Pepijn Servaas: Could it be a reason why two people in love are forbidden to meet each other or making out with each other at the eclipse night?
Pranay Suresh: It could be. Anything could happen to anyone, anytime, anywhere, and it's good for us if you and I prepare for things that need to be prepared. In her previous letter she told me that whenever she looked at the moon, she felt like to grow fangs, such as Fang Face, her favorite movie when she was a toddler.
Jan Pepijn Servaas :It seems you really understand the meaning of the moon for her.
Pranay Suresh : So so. The moon was a sketch for her.
Jan Pepijn Servaas : what sketch?
: Partial Solar Eclipse on January 2011 : http://ciscazarmansyah.blogspot.com/2011/03/news-library-6.html
According to NASA, four partial solar and two total lunar eclipses will take place in 2011. This combination is extremely rare, having happened only six times in the 21st century.
