Based on Taliban flag (Flag of Afghanistan 1997-2001) at FOTW (instead of direct copy of text from Saudi Arabian flag).
"According to information supplied by Abu Mujahid of the Taliban about the national flag, the ratio is 1:2 and the Arabic writing on it is black not green. This source said that the one in black is the official flag, and that it was introduced two days before the date in Smith 1997k [Whitney Smith, New flags: Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, The Flag Bulletin XXXVI-5 = 177, 1997], i.e. on October 25th 1997. It was shown at the Taliban's New York Office website." (Jaume Ollé, October 1997 - April 1998)
On the question whether the Taliban flew a white flag with the shahada inscribed in green (as claimed by Smith 1997):
Source: "This flag [i.e. the one with green writing] was used to illustrate November 2001 articles on Afghanistan in the news magazine Der Spiegel. I wrote an e-mail to them pointing to the error; as an answer they told me, that (my translation) 'from our documentation we can tell, that both versions (with green or black inscription) have been used. However, it is true, that the black inscription seems to be used more frequently now'." (Marcus Schmöger, 18 November 2001)

Taliban insurgents in northern Afghanistan after they surrendered to the Afghan National Police. Dozens of Taliban renounce violence in Jawzjan.
SHIBERGHAN (PAN): Dozens of Taliban insurgents joined the peace process in northern Jawzjan province on Thursday, an official said. A 35-member rebel group shunned the militancy in the Qush Tepa district and announced support for the government, the deputy governor said.
The group turned in 20 heavy and light weapons to local authorities, Deputy Governor Faqir Mohammad Jawzjani told Pajhwok Afghan News. With the surrender of the fighters, he hoped, the security situation in the district would improve. Other militants, in contact with the governor, would return to the national mainstream in the near future, he suggested.
Commander Ahmad Zia, the group leader, said, "I remained with the Taliban for a year to save my life." He promised to help provide security for reconstruction projects in the town.

Consider the difference in our actions and God's actions. We often ask, "Why did you do that?" or "Why did I act like that?" We do act, and yet everything we do is God's creative action. We look back and analyze the events of our lives, but there is another way of seeing, a backward-and-forward-at-once vision, that is not rationally understandable.
Only God can understand it. Satan made the excuse, you caused me to fall, whereas Adam said to God, We did this to ourselves. After this repentance, God asked Adam, "Since all is within my foreknowledge, why didn't you defend yourself with that reason?"
Adam answered, "I was afraid, and I wanted to be reverent."
Whoever acts with respect will get respect. Whoever brings sweetness will be served almond cake. Good women are drawn to be with good men.
Honor your friend. Or treat him rudely, and see what happen!
Love, tell an incident now that will clarify this mystery of how we act freely, and are yet compelled. One hand shakes with palsy. Another shakes because you slapped it away. Both tremblings come from God, but you feel guilty for the one, and what about the other?
These are intellectual questions. The spirit approaches the matter differently. Omar once had a friend, a scientist, Bu'l-Hakam, who was flawless at solving empirical problems, but he could not follow Omar into the area of illumination and wonder.
Now I return to the text, "And He is with you, wherever you are, "But when have I ever left it!"
Ignorance is God's prison. Knowing is God's palace.
We sleep in God's unconsciousness. We wake in God's open hand.
We weep God's rain. We laugh God's lightning.
Fighting and peacefulness both take place within God.
Who are we then in this complicated world-tangle, that is really just the single, straight line down at the beginning of Allah?
Nothing.
We are emptiness.*****

Pranay Suresh : Actually Afghanistan since the beginning was in the path of a free and democratic constitutional, if there was not a crime of the communist party. The situation and conditions in Afghanistan will be totally different from now, which has been filled with turmoil of terrorism, war, misery of underdevelopment and poverty. The coup by the communists and the Soviet Union's intervention has destroyed Afghanistan's political and social stability. The process of modernization that has been going well finally interrupted in the middle of the passage of time.

Sometimes I forget completely what companionship is. Unconscious and insane, I spill sad energy everywhere. My story gets told in various ways: a romance, a dirty joke, a war, a vacancy. Divide up my forgetfulness to any number, it will go around. These dark suggestions that I follow, are they a part of some plan? Friends, be careful. Don't come near me out of curiosity, or sympathy. ─ Jalaluddin Rumi

Pranay Suresh: The future of the standard infantry rifle used by American forces have been re-examined because of worries that they've used the wrong weapon for operations in Afghanistan. By tracer bullet M4 rifle currently used by U.S. forces in Afghanistan, the speed and strength to kill in combat distance was inadequate, causing the weapon U.S. forces must be defeated by the Taliban who used the Kalashnikov AK47 rifle and SVD sniper rifle from Russian.

The United States has about 200,000 military personnel in Afghanistan, half of them troops, half of them contractors.
President Barack Obama put over two-thirds of that number there, first with a big escalation in 2009 that everyone refuses to pay the slightest attention to, then with a second escalation in 2010.
Obama made promises (http://www.guardian.co.uk/ commentisfree/cifamerica/2011/may/12/afghanistan-us-military) he is now breaking.

"In July of 2011, you're going to see a whole lot of people moving out, bet on it." – Vice President Joe Biden, quoted in Jonathan Alter's The Promise. :: http://www.politico.com/ne ws/stories/0610/38779.html
The military publicly instructed Obama to break this commitment in May of this year through the Wall Street Journal (http://online.wsj.com/arti cle/SB10001424052748704681904576313634229822902.html). The commander in chief was instructed to withdraw 5,000 people in July and another 5,000 over the following five months. These would be out of the total of 200,000, meaning a withdrawal in July of 2.5 percent of the total forces, followed by a withdrawal in August of 0.5 percent, in September 0.5 percent, and so on.
The New York Times (http://www.nytimes.com/201 1/06/06/world/asia/06gates.html?_r=1) in early June did its bit for the cause of mass-murder by spinning 5,000 as a BIG number. In fact the New York Times claimed the number just might be as high as 3,000 or even 5,000.
Just as Obama has obeyed the military on escalations and withdrawals, and obeyed the CIA on refusals to prosecute torture, Obama appears to be doing exactly what he is told once again.
According to Tuesday's Los Angeles Times (http://www.latimes.com/new s/nationworld/world/la-fg-afghan-withdrawal-20110621 ,0,6964197.story), Obama will announce on Wednesday a plan to withdraw 10,000 personnel by the end of this year. There isn't even any mention of how many of those will come home in July. So, assuming a steady glacial progress over six months, we're looking at 0.83 percent withdrawn in July, 0.83 percent withdrawn in August, and so on.
This, the Los Angeles Times assures us, is more than the 3,000 to 4,000 that supposedly the Pentagon wanted to withdraw over the entire next six months. In fact:
"Taking out 10,000 troops over the next six months could create problems for the U.S.-led coalition in Afghanistan, especially if other countries, which now contribute about 40,000 troops, pull out more personnel than expected, several officials said."
Problems? For the US mission in Afghanistan? You're kidding! Wouldn't THAT be a novelty.
Oh, I know! Let's blame the problems on the withdrawal of 0.83% of the forces, as imposed on Washington by the stupid leftwing liberal extremists.
Or, if that doesn't work, and somebody points out that two-thirds of our country has wanted this war ENDED for a long time now, we could blame something even better. We could blame democracy.
Of course, we won't be able to use that word. Let's ask the Wall Street Journal, the New York Times, and the Los Angeles Times to get to work on this right away!

Sometimes you will find among them are the elements that work as a police officer, or as a judge who listens to a variety of grievances, but then when entering the night, they will turn to join fight against the Americans and NATO.
Flashback
TΛŁIBΛП STOПIПG
The perpetrators of stoning to death against a couple in northern Afghanistan are reported to be brought to justice. This policy was taken by local authorities after footage of killing by stoning surfaced in public. Siddqa (26) & Khayyam were accused of adultery in Dashte Archi region in Kunduz province in August 2010. Hundreds of people were attending the stoning, but none was accused because the area was still controlled by the Taliban.
"Everyone who knows about Islam, of course understand if stoning has been stipulated in Quran, and it's Islamic law. Some people call it inhumane, but it's actually insulting the prophet. They want to bring Western ideas to this country!" ~ ZABIULLAH MUJAHID/Taliban spokesman in a telephone interview defended the sentence.

CieL- FreYa Ceastle : What is the greatest sin in this world?
Fairuz Azalia : C, the law of stoning adulterers to death for men and women who have or never married (muhshan) is hudud law, it's controversial among clerics. There are differences of opinion about its basic law, both punishment determination and implementation methods. In Koran, no verse that commands a must in stoning of people who have committed adultery. You can check it further in QS 4:15 and QS 24:2.
Adriaan Zef : It's a brutal act of humanity from a criminals group who call themselves as warriors of truth according to Islam!
Cisca Zarmansyah : Thank you, Fai. There are things I want to ask you more about adultery. To the couple is not married but have been the act of intercourse, can they be said to have committed adultery?
Adriaan Zef : .... I love you, honey.
Fairuz Azalia : ... Indeed, C. In Islam, the adulterers can be divided into two types : Muhshan and Ghayru muhshan. Muhshan are adulterers who already have a legal spouse (married). While the Ghayru Muhshan are adulterers who have never married and has no legal spouse. Under Islamic law, adultery is one of major sins. In Islam, a sexual intercourse by a man / woman who has been married to men / women who are not legal husband / wife is named adultery. In Qur'an, it's said all Muslims believe that adultery is a big sin and forbidden by Allah. In Islamic law, it will be subject to punishment. If it's classified muhshan adultery, mukallaf (already baligh and resourceful), voluntary (not forced, not raped), then they would be flogged 100 times, then stoned to death, according to Ali bin Abi Talib's deeds. Or they're just stoned, scourged, and this is better, as done by Muhammad, Abu Bakr as-Siddiq and Umar bin Khatthab. If the adulterers are not married, then they would be scourged (whipped) 100 times, or exiled for a year.
Lakshmi Lavanya : C, About adultery in Quran is also mentioned in: Al-Israa '17:32, al A'raaf 7:33, 24:26 An Nuur.
Almira Izzati : ... gotcha!
Cisca Zarmansyah : What about the adultery law between same-sex couples?
Lakshmi Lavanya : I don't agree how they finish the rights of other people's lives in that way. I feel ashamed if they are in the name of Islam perform all the cruel acts. Is that what is called jihad?
Fairuz Azalia : From verses of QS 24:2 and QS 4: 15, obviously, it doesn't use the word of stoning. There are only "one hundred stripes" words and confines at home until her death coming, or there are other ways. In addition, a special surah Al-Nur 15 with the word "fahisyah", there are two interpretations : ordinary adultery (heterosexual) & extraordinary adultery (between same sex couples),... means, not necessarily that it's an ordinary adultery, and it's not a stoning sentence.
Besides, a larger requirement in the testimony, there are four eyewitnesses to see directly in a transparent, (sorry),... just like someone put the sword into its sheath. Could this happen to normal people? it's almost impossible to watch.
Cisca Zarmansyah : Yeah, this is quite different. You know that, one of my favourite story book is "The Scarlet Letter" (by Nathaniel Hawthorne), it's a classic cultural and religious novel of a strong Christian in a British colonists country. In Christian religion (as well as other religions such as Islam), adultery is categorized into major sin. If this is done, then the penalty will be imposed is a very heavy punishment, like the death penalty.
But in The Scarlet Letter, because adultery is kept secret by her (Hello, Hester! then it happens to be different. From the "closure" in keeping it secret, she slowly increases herself status. She mobilizes herself from the Adulterer (A = adultery), then to be Able to (A = Able), and finally to the Angel / holy woman (A = Angel).
I know that stale food remains stale even if we wrap it with gold foil, but yah... what's the difference? Sure, there is. Only one word to the destiny of death, and I think it could be done not in ways which offend many people, cause a lot of hatred and fear.
Valentino Vie : Baby, that's the story of our favourite regrets. Taliban, don't disgrace Islam! Suck it up mega weapon, you can't stop true love!...
