Jan Pepijn Servaas : Before the regular withdrawal of coalition forces from Afghanistan, the attacks by militants targeting foreign troops have been increasing. In the last two days on last Saturday (6/18) and yesterday (6/19), recorded a number of attacks targeting foreign troops in Afghanistan.
Deliberate suicide bomb attack was targeting a convoy or a German military convoy yesterday. Although there were no German soldiers who were victims, three civilians were killed in the incident. An armored vehicle owned by German soldiers in the inverted position.
The offender drove on a busy street near the airport in the outskirts of Kunduz, northern Afghanistan. Associated Press (directly at the blast location) saw a military vehicle was overturned. The cars that used by the perpetrators was severely damaged.
Afghan Interior Ministry reported that three civilians were killed and 11 people wounded in the attack. A spokesman for coalition forces (ISAF) Major Tim James made sure that no one NATO soldier who became the victims were killed in the incident. A spokesman of the Taliban Zabiullah Mujahid claimed that his party was responsible for the attack.
The incidence of suicide bombings came just a day lapse after a similar attack was targeting NATO and Afghan troops. Saturday (18 / 6) the perpetrators of suicide attacks pushed into a police station in Kabul. The attack killed nine people, including five civilians, before the perpetrator was shot dead.
Meanwhile, on Saturday and eight NATO soldiers in Afghanistan were killed in the day. According to ISAF, the dead included four foreign soldiers who died in a gunfight separately in the southern and northern Afghanistan. Four others died after being injured in accidents or incidents not related to the gunfire.
One of the victims killed was British soldiers, he was shot in an attack. It made the total death toll of foreign troops in Afghanistan numbered 256 people this year. Last year the death toll of foreign troops in Afghanistan as many as 711 people.
Currently there are 130 thousand foreign troops in Afghanistan under the umbrella led by ISAF. Of that amount, 90 thousand of them are the U.S. soldiers. Since the foreign troops in Afghanistan in 2001, thousands of people have been killed.
British soldiers who served in the 3rd Battalion Mercian Regiment, was killed while on patrol with the Afghan national army in a region prone Nahr-e Saraj district, Helmand province. Patrols carried out on assignment from the nearest military base to meet with people who just reoccupy the territory Haji Aga Tor Kalay in Helmand Province. Army (UK) was part of the protective guard in charge of keeping the meeting. At that time, the rebel militia shot the victim with a small weapon to serious injuries and died.
Britain has 9500 troops in Afghanistan. David Cameron has said they would begin to withdrawl their troops in 2015. He said that Britain was ready to help to train the Afghan before the responsibility of security forces was fully handed over to local authority.
Attacks after attacks was still continuing, despite the dialogue between representatives of the United States, Afghanistan and the Taliban is in progress. The information is that peaceful dialogue has emerged since the last few months. But Hamid Karzai was formally revealed it on last Saturday. Nevertheless, formally the Taliban declared that there would be no negotiations before the foreign troops were pulled out of Afghanistan.
The White House also has not directly confirm or deny the statement Karzai. However, a similar dialogue will bring a positive signal when The UN Security Council covertly decided to differentiate its treatment of Taliban and al-Qaeda, related in terms of sanctions. The decision was intended to support the Afghan government's efforts to achieve the reconciliation.

Pranay Suresh : Canada says documents clear its troops of allegation they knew of torture of Afghan detainees:: http://www.newser.com/article/d9o14ma01/canada-says-documents-clear-its-troops-of-allegation-they-knew-of-torture-of-afghan-detainees.html
Cisca Zarmansyah : Nay, this document is believed to contain the proof that Canada is transferring detainees to Afghan prisons, knowing that they will be punished, but the torture on detainees is a violation of Canadian and international law.
Adriaan Zef :You're right, hon. There's no credible charges for Canadian Forces. They always act in accordance with international law in the handling of Taliban prisoners.
Adriaan Zef : Opposition parties have threatened and forced an election last year as the government's refusal to publish the sensitive Afghan war's document.
Cisca Zarmansyah : BB, what about the agreements reached in June 2010? At that time, the parliament formed a committee to review all documents associated with the transfer of detainees in the Afghanistan conflict. And you know that to any documents found and relevant to the case was immediately referred to a panel of "Arbitration Expert", whose task was to decide whether the document can be opened to the parliament and public without sacrificing the national security.
Adriaan Zef : Opposition has taken the opportunity to review these documents, hon. Jack Layton also assessed the committees that examined the documents to be disclosed was no longer exist, following the elections in last May. But anyway I guess it will not end the controversy. I think what they face now is whether there is a chain of command or not, or the government itself, who are aware that there is a possibility of their front-line soldiers are asked or forced to close their eyes when detainees were transferred to prisons where they were tortured.
