The Foreign Office expected countries to ask for the loan of the SAS in a siege or hijack after the London Iranian Embassy rescue, newly-released files show.

The Ministry of Defence is investigating claims that a soldier from a Scottish regiment sliced fingers off dead Taliban fighters to keep as souvenirs.
Page 1 of 3 Aug 2011 08 - BAFF Executive Chairman quoted in BBC story - Soldier allegedly cut fingers off dead Taliban.
The squaddie, from the Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders, is said to have carried out the horrific ritual in Afghanistan, during a tour which ended in April.
