The collapse Muammar Gaddafi regime is not only reaffirms the fragility of Arab dictators, but also its success over the years in fooling us with false slogans about patriotism, nationalism and anti colonialism.
We have no doubt at all that NATO aircraft with the generals and military operations that surrounded the space battle over the last five months has played a key role in overthrowing the Libyan regime, and allowing opposition forces to achieve rapid progress in the battle, and the seizure of the town one after another. But one thing that raises the question - this is not to defend the regime of Gaddafi and his men - why is the capital and large parts of Libya could collapse in just a few hours?
Libyan regime has spent billions of dollars to buy the modern and sophisticated weapons, and prepare its commanders, like a peacock in the main fortresses guarded by tanks, missiles and fighter aircraft, helicopters, and various units of the armed forces. With that much power, we do not see any impact or effectiveness in fighting with the rebels. An oppressed nation (if its dignity had been stripped, and the loss of basic freedoms), then it won't defend the tyrants, and can't be fooled by its slogans when the facts have been revealed. What happened in Tripoli and other Libyan cities are the most prominent examples.
Lebanese-Palestinian resistance, for example, stands upright to hold the invasion of "Israel" to Beirut more than eighty days, in which tanks "Israel" can't move even just a few meters, because of the brave knights defend the dignity of national liberation. Lebanese opposition lasted more than thirty days during the aggression "of Israel" in July 2006, to embarrass the army "Israel" that supposedly "invincible", destroying the myth of Merkava tanks power. With heroism and humility, they defended the homeland and more than four thousand Israel rockets could be destroyed.
They did so, it was not because defending a dictator unfair, arrogant, and tyrannical. They fought not in order to comply with orders, but struggling to restore the sanctity and dignity of Arabs and Islam that has been lost. We are well aware of how differences in power between Israel and the Arab Islamic forces who want to overthrow the dictatorial regime of arrogant and insulting his own people. But the thing that we want to examine is the lack of willingness to fight and desire for the self-sacrifice on the people who are within the scope of tyranny and dictatorship. It's all gone, when they wanted independence.
The next phase, post-"victory" is the most difficult and dangerous times, not because of fears people will live in rags, where there are no hospitals, no schools or universities, no institutions or infrastructure, but because there are serious divisions in the ranks opposition, and the hidden agenda of NATO and Western countries, which initially did the military intervention to overthrow the regime for humanitarian reasons. Libya is now in the security vacuum, and the lack of political visibility, and it is expected that this situation will not repeat the same scene in Iraq after the American occupation.
It should be noted that the Islamic activists -- a moderate or militant -- are the ones who hold the heaviest burden of the war effort, and this is an undeniable fact and should not be denied. It's wrong when NATO leaders try to keep them away from the fruits of their victory and don't recognize the role and their right to participate in drawing Libyan identity in the future.
I am concerned that NATO, after succeeding in changing the regime in Libya, will begin to prepare a similar plan in Syria, especially in some groups among the Syrian opposition will welcome this intervention or incite. And if these interventions actually occur, it's an event that will probably be the backfire completely, because the Syrian situation is more complex and more different from the case of Libya.
I am not sympathetic to the system of Gaddafi and his children, but we reserve the right to worry about what will come to Libya, either by NATO, which looks like to intervene in oil prices, the military bases and political control, or the disagreement that may occur. There is a breath of fire from many sides that threaten Libya. However, we can not help but to have to congratulate the people of Libya's victory over tyranny.

I have to admit that I am engulfed by sadness every time I come to write about the way the Libyan situation is unfolding; when I witness the way the country is being torn apart and how the whole nightmare is being completely mis-represented and distorted by a huge media machine, paid for by parties with enormous funds, and which has almost dominated Arab public opinion.
