One World Trade Center is now the tallest building in Lower Manhattan at 1,000 feet above street level, surpassing 40 Wall Street, which was built in 1930. Steel for the building has risen to the 80th floor.
The image of One World Trade Center is reflected in the glass façade of the 9/11 Memorial Museum visitor’s center. Work on this project was completed months ahead of schedule.
One World Trade Center is now visible in the skyline from around New York and northern New Jersey, and will reach the 80th floor level by the 10th anniversary.
