Bastille Day 2011

France celebrates Bastille Day which falls every year on July 14. Bastille Day is a celebration to commemorate the anniversary of the storming of the Bastille occurred in 1789. July 14, 1780 was a massive nationwide celebration to celebrate the implementation of the Act French monarchy which only briefly and also events that were considered as the encouraging end of French revolution.

In a party at the King Palace, General Lafayette, the National Guard captain and confidant of the king, swore allegiance to the monarchy of the Act, followed by the oath of King Louis XVI. First anniversary of the Bastille prison raid was seen as a symbol of the resurrection of the modern French nation and reconciliation throughout France a constitutional monarchy before being defeated by the First Republic in the French revolution.
