Astrid Adrienne

Each day I live I want to be a day to give the best of me. I'm only one but not alone. My finest day is yet unknown. I broke my heart fought every gain to taste the sweet. I face the pain, I rise and fall, yet through it all this much remains. I want one moment in time when I'm more than I thought I could be. When all of my dreams are a heartbeat away and the answers are all up to me. Give me one moment in time when I'm racing with destiny. Then in that one moment of time I will feel I will feel eternity. I've lived to be the very best. I want it all no time for less. I've laid the plans, now lay the chance here in my hands. You're a winner for a lifetime if you seize that one moment in time . Make it shine. Then in that one moment of time I will be I will be I will be free I will be I will be free.

Astrid Adrienne : Romney's decision to reopen the debate about the billions of dollars of government bailouts for auto companies like GM and Chrysler are at risk. Both are close to bankruptcy at the beginning of the global financial crisis, but last year they were expected to reach record profits and re-create jobs. But on the other hand, bailouts for auto manufacturers are not favored by conservatives who fear the policy will potentially erode taxpayer funds. Other candidates also criticized the bailout policy was an abuse of government authority.

Astrid Adrienne: But actually, if it is observed further, why does the Tea Party benefit the rich? Because, with the strengthening of Tea party existence, Obama regime's efforts to encourage more progressive taxation on the wealthy to be obstructed. The tax issue to be "biased". Bias, because the Tea Party deliberately and or indirectly manipulate the opinion, propaganda that its emphasis is the overall tax (which should be removed as much as possible). Meanwhile, within 3 years of Obama's leadership, Obama has repeatedly tried to impose taxes on the rich who so far their wealth will always be safe because the taxation rate of their property is very low, whereas they could pay as much tax as possible, but they pretended to be reluctant to pay taxes, because they tend to be greedy.

Astrid Adrienne : Obama is not superman who could transform the U.S. economy becoming better in a short time. In one last year when the U.S. led by Bush Jr., it seemed to collapse the U.S. economy not only because global crisis. Bush Jr. regime intentionally built a "legacy trap" for any regime that would lead the U.S., would have trouble fixing the U.S. economy. In other words, Bush Jr. actually knew that the U.S. was moving towards a crisis (eg, military costs are too large, reaching 300 billion dollars per year). But in the first years of his tenure, some savings policy were intentionally not to be carried out by Bush Jr. regime, so that the U.S. economy was getting worse.

Ryan Dawson When people say I like your economics just not your foreign policy I have to smile and sigh. How can you ignore a trillion dollar expenditure and act like its not part of the economy. It's the easiest thing to cut in the world. We don't need war. Is bombing kids in Afghanistan really that important to you, to hurt your own family over it? I think food on the table is more important than meat heads peeing on dead bodies in the mountains of Kandahar. It's a waste of money. It has nothing to do with fighting terrorism. In fact it IS terrorism. They wage war to personally profit at your expense and lie to you by selling fear.
Astrid Adrienne: Many other important facts which have never reported by CNN, Fox News, ABC, CNBC, or the BBC. And the worse thing is the news coming from the media also played back by the local television media of other countries. Assume the following facts:

■ PNAC controls of the American government. They have many motives which open the door for the 9/11 attacks.
■ U.S. soldiers were laughing and dancing around the bodies of Iraqi civilians who were killed covered in blood.
■ The U.S. imprisons the boy of 11 years in prison Abu Ghraib. The former U.S. commander said, according to the general investigation, there has been persecution in the jail.
■ The British police operating in Basra tortured at least two civilians to death by using an electric drill.
■ The U.S. took advantage of the spread of the opium trade in Afghanistan.
■ An inmate at Guantanamo in April 2003 reported to the FBI that he was forced to stand naked in front of a female interrogator.
■ HIV-AIDS virus was originally not from chimpanzees, but it was a creation of the scientists who then diverted through a specific engineered to exterminate a particular ethnic.
■ For the long term, Fluoride in toothpaste is harmful to health. But, for 50 years, the government and the U.S. media suggest fluoride as a safe and effective means to prevent the cavities.
■ U.S. weapons of mass destruction, such as the uranium tubes were rarely mentioned the American media, including its long-term impact. *****

Astrid Adrienne : Scientists in France managed to find ways to "rejuvenate" your cells. Published in the Genes & Development journal on 1 November 2011, the study
"marks the first step in the development of regenerative medicine to cure a disease," said Jean-Marc
Lemaitre, research head of Functional Genomics Institute of the University of Montpellier. In addition, this study could provide a better understanding of the effects of aging and pathology. The scientists examined the skin cells from a donor aged 74 years. Elderly donor was intended to examine the time at which the cell has reached a
period of aging, which was characterized by cessation of cell spread. Then they started doing the reprogramming of cells in vitro, where they added two additional genetic factors into the cells. The result? "The signs of aging in cells have been removed, and the iPSC stem cells which we obtain can produce functional cells of all types with a
capacity to grow and develop as well as long life" said Jean-Marc Lemaitre. The researchers also tested the same for cells from older donors, ranging from 92 to 101 years, as well as the cell trees. "Age is definitely not a barrier to cell reprogramming," he added. Previously, it had been done more or less the same experiment on a
group of rats, but the experiments in human cells is a new thing.

: so, a little thought provocation... Learned the Jehova Witness philosophy on Armageddon. Apparently... these guys believe in "God" so much... That when the shit hits the fan... and because "God" and "Jesus" promoted pacifism... these guys think, because Jehovas witnesses can't defend themselves, "God" will swing into action and protect them from all the horribleness.

To me... It sounds a bit like an occult approach to teaching/creating
people who refuse to defend themselves... Thus are easily more manipulated...
But, all in all, out of all the crazy Christian stuff out there...
This at least is... positive...

Pacifism is a good thing... Right?

Astrid Adrienne and Christopher Aaron Grills like this.

Astrid Adrienne : Some people who consider themselves pacifists, sometimes, even though they oppose the war, in fact they don't oppose all use of violence, physical force against another person or destruction of property. The anti-military, for example, they
specifically will soothe the military institutions of the modern nation-state rather than supporting "violence" in general. The other pacifists follow principles of nonviolence, because they believe that only the non-violent action can be justified.

Astrid Adrienne : Recommendation of pacifism can be found deep in history and literature. For example, a love of all life, human and nonhuman, is central to the teachings of Jainism was founded by Mahavira 599-527 BCE. Human life is valued as a unique and rare opportunity to attain enlightenment, and kill someone - anyone - any evil that might have done, is a disgusting act and can not be imagined. In ancient Greece, two examples of the Peloponnese War 431-404 BC was a non-violent protests of Hegetorides from Thasos, and the Athena women's sex strike in Aristophanes comedy (Lysistrata).

Astrid Adrienne : Many people think of Jesus as a pacifist, based on his sermons on the hill. Leo Tolstoy was also a staunch advocate of pacifism. In one of his later works, "Kingdom of God is among you," Tolstoy gave history, description, and his advocacy of pacifism.

"I do not believe what has been taught to me as a child, but I believe in something. What I believe I can't tell at all, I believe in God or I do not deny God, but I can not tell what is God. I also do not deny Christ and his teachings, but what and how he teaches, I can not say " − Leo Tolstoy, A Confession, 1882.

Astrid Adrienne: ‎"When the Washington Post telephoned me at home on Valentine's Day 1989 to ask my opinion about the Ayatollah Khomeini's fatwah, I felt at once that here was something that completely committed me. It was, if I can phrase it like this, a matter of everything I hated versus everything I loved. In the hate column: dictatorship, religion, stupidity, demagogy, censorship, bullying, and intimidation. In the love column: literature, irony, humor, the individual, and the defense of free expression. Plus, of course, friendship - though I like to think that my reaction would have been the same if I hadn't known Salman at all. To re-state the premise of the argument again: the theocratic head of a foreign despotism offers money in his own name in order to suborn the murder of a civilian citizen of another country, for the offense of writing a work of fiction. No more root-and-branch challenge to the values of the Enlightenment (on the bicentennial of the fall of the Bastille) or to the First Amendment to the Constitution, could be imagined. President George H.W. Bush, when asked to comment, could only say grudgingly that, as far as he could see, no American interests were involved" − Christopher Hitchens (April 13, 1949-December 15, 2011) :: http://www.npr.org/2011/12/16/143595854/writer-christopher-hitchens-dies

Writer Christopher Hitchens Dies At 62 : NPR
The influential writer and cultural critic died Thursday at the age of 62 from complications of cancer of the esophagus. Hitchens confronted his disease in part by writing, bringing the same unsparing insight to his mortality that he had directed at so many other subjects.

The conflict in Sudan, both of South Sudan conflict, Darfur conflict and the Eastern Front conflict are nothing but the manifestation of the struggle between the U.S. and Europe. And the U.S. had won the fight in the South, leading the Eastern Front and continues to compete in Darfur. Both the U.S. and Europe carry the capitalist ideology. Their goal is to rob the wealth of Sudan. That's the nature of the capitalist state and it is proved from what is happening in Islamic countries.

Astrid Adrienne: Norm Dixon, a columnist from Australia, wrote the title of his column on 08/19/04, "Oil profits behind West tears for Darfur". Uwe Friesecke, a German analyst said that the Western thirst for Sudanese oil would in fact started the conflict in Darfur by training rebels SLM/A and JEM. Chaos in Sudan will provide an opportunity for Western governments to intervene militarily and provoke the change of regime in Kharthoum. With the new government then controlled by the World Bank and IMF to open up (liberalize) Sudan's economy. This country will be accessible to Western oil companies.

The U.S. has announced its intent to make Africa as one of its main source of oil. Britain also has a large oil company. Friesecke cited the source in the U.S. government that "they (the West) have made detailed plans for the post-peace Sudan in the west".
    February 22 , 2012

Astrid Adrienne: Any U.S. effort to cover up its motive is still not working. Carter doctrine has revealed the veil. Carter stated, "Gulf Oil has the urgency of national security for the U.S., and the U.S. will use every means, including military force to secure its interests." Every American who cares about political signs, knows that the U.S. was not at war with Iraq for democracy, because there's no democracy in the Arab world. The U.S. is not fighting for the royal family in Kuwait. The U.S. went to war to stop Iraq over control of a single source, which is the blood for the industry and the economy that determines the life and death. This policy is not just specific to the Gulf, but for all Muslim countries including Sudan, which is one of the largest oil wells in Africa. Human Rights Watch in a report stating, "Religion and the oil have put Sudan in the priority list of the U.S. government "

Especially in certain parts when the tone is made by musician can create the feeling of being sad, happy, even angry? Or do you ever find a musician more touching than the other? Photos as a sign have given entrance to all the people to find themselves or even eliminate themselves when they are difficult to distinguish pleasure in experiencing the event or delay for giving meaning to the photograph. Visual age has been trapping the human on artificial consciousness. The authenticity of self begins to run away because
everything must be translated in the picture. Meaning of the photographs is being biased due to the motives repression for excessive imaging. The image has become "the opiate". Photos are forced "to nag". Finally, the picture begins telling people until they are tired. Well, that's about it.

Astrid Adrienne: Jean-Paul Sartre in Les Mots, Orhan Pamuk in Istanbul, and Edward W. Said in Out of Place described themselves with heaps of words. The chapters in their book were equally concerned over the meaning of image presence as a key story of self and family. Photos took them on imagination of the past to know the pedigree, the situation of the times, and human character. So, I think this is also a wandering sign of the past and creation of the future imagination energy.

Astrid Adrienne : Digital era does not know the numbers other than zero and one. These numbers have changed as well as an age which occurs in humans. Binary number will also give birth a high human civilization, that's a digital human. Digital human are those who only know the numbers zero and one in their principle of life.
Astrid Adrienne: From here we will begin to discover the spiritual meaning behind the numbers zero and one. 0 is the symbol of purity of heart and mind, while the first is a symbol of the Oneness of God. The result is infinity, as well as sharing in a special corner of 1:0 on the tangent of 90°. When human put themselves on the 'zero digem', then their full potential identity which has been covered by various chains will emerge, making it possible for divine light to emit its rays. Divine light is a ray of justice, solidarity and love supreme coveted by all human beings.
    February 25, 2012
Astrid Adrienne: But, what is happening now is majority of the people using a digital energy only in the field of technology and science, not on a spiritual thing, whereas, the use of human mental is still underdeveloped, or it can be said still analog, so the lameness will occur. They have been using electronic tools with the concept of 0 and 1, but for they don't use it for themselves. So the irony is, they who are supposed to be the subject then even become the object of such tools, since only their devices with concept of digital, it does not cover their mental health. So it's possible if the human will become the slave to digital technology.

Every month, "Uncle Sam" would send various types of food in the form of a mixture of soybeans and corn, oilseeds, and food for health. North Korea's Nuclear Attitude: What's Next?
Secretary of State Hillary Clinton said North Korea's agreement to suspend its n...

Jan Pepijn Servaas : I think the North Korea's compliance to halt its nuclear program is the impossibility, given the leadership of Jong-un has not been tested. How could a 28-year-old boy willing to give up the only force capable of providing high legitimacy when dealing with powerful countries in order to sustain his regime? He will not do it!

Adriaan Zef : I agree with you, dude. There are still military facilities other than Yongbyon used for uranium enrichment. Based on intelligence reports, there are two to three facilities that can be used. And to you, honey... don't laugh like that if you don't want me to lock your lips with my lips. You should know or you just pretend not to understand...?, the U.S. basic position is supposed to be "no reward for any action".

Jan Pepijn Servaas : so, it looks like there is an element of mistrust ...

Adriaan Zef : Of course, what do you think of this? Damn, it's time for me to loosen my pants now!... ... North Korea is a country that can't be trusted, as they further develop a nuclear program in secret even after the announcement of the Geneva agreement. Therefore, Washington is not willing to continue negotiations if North Korea does not halt its nuclear program. The U.S. also expects that the process until the disposal of North Korea's nuclear program is achieved should be discussed within the framework of multilateral in terms of 6-way talks. Don't worry, dude. Washington opens the possibility of bilateral dialogue between the U.S. and North Korea, but only in 6-way talks.

Jan Pepijn Servaas : ... Well, I just hope Washington does not have bad intentions toward North Korea, and that the country is ready to take steps to improve bilateral
relations in a spirit of mutual respect and equality, right sweetie?

Adriaan Zef : Don't worry, dude. She's not as weak and stupid as you think. Everyone knows she is my boss. Every time we're testing my special nuclear burst to her, ...you know it. She didn't protest at all, she just laughed and asked for more nuclear, at least a kind of my long-range missiles.

This is the most prestigious event for the Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, but I believe this election will not change the policy that had been done by Iran, including Iran's nuclear program, which has been suspected of being used to develop nuclear weapons.

Astrid Adrienne : Jan, actually, the religious groups need Ahmadinejad. His defeat can weaken them to face the opposition.

Jan Pepijn Servaas : In order not to leave the slightest chance, I think the supporters of Khamenei require a majority vote in parliament. It's necessary to inhibit the chances of Ahmadinejad's allies to win the vote in 2013. For the Supreme Leader, to maintain the integrity of scholars reliability is the most urgent issue. I'm sure you know how Ahmadinejad's faction is considered trying to go beyond the power of the Supreme Leaders who are chosen by the clergy in the political hierarchy. And to interfere in

Some experts argue, the world economy is now beginning to shift to the east, especially Asia. The emergence of new players in world economic activities such as Brazil, Russia, China, and India undoubtedly is a significant influence on world economy. West now can't turn a blind eye to these events. As the main locomotive of Western economies, the U.S. is working hard to restore its dominance. At the meeting of G-20 revealed an important fact. The U.S. through its representative government wanted China to reduce the intervention to its currency, yuan. The U.S. considered the Chinese government had intervened to the value of its currencies, so that its value was relatively weak to the U.S. dollar. This of course weakens the U.S. economy. As a result, Chinese goods entering the U.S. market will have a cheaper price than the original goods made by the U.S itself. The reaction was given by the Chinese government. They considered the allegations was too excessive. Far to the wishes of the U.S, even the Chinese government didn't heed the U.S. wishes --- wishes from a country that is predicted by some economists will lose its teeth in the next few years. My question is, what is the impact of the rivalry between the two countries to the world economy? Of course, what will happen is the transfer of production factors and capital factors in economic activities. Countries in Asia that have just become the Original Equipment Manufacturer in a value chain of production, will turn into the countries that have substantial capital factor. By a factor of large capital, technology and innovation are expected to increase. In the perception of a product supply chain, of course this is very influential. With the gathering of production and capital in Asia, the distance factor will be minimized. The distance factor can be minimized due to the producing countries and consumers will automatically have a shorter distance. How do you think?

This not only makes them just a new economic power but also shift the global politics, where a role in the global diplomatic arena arise. No doubt, the role of developing economies countries have changed the global political order, and has affected the political balance of global and regional economy. Baby, you can predict how the situation and trends are creating new challenges and opportunities in the area of investment, trade, security, environmental sustainability, development and regional cooperation, for example, political and economic cooperation between the countries closer to developing economies in Asia and the countries established economies such as Japan and South Korea, maybe this will make Asia region is stronger than ever, creating political balance in the global economy with other economic powers like the EU, North America and Latin America Region. And I say with sincerity (I swear, there's no tendency toward vague, so you don't need to put the cart before the horse haha), Changes to the game on the global settings may need a new perspective as well as leadership qualities. From there, the question of what kind of leadership qualities that will make business leaders, political and social institutions may be able to

    political and economic order.

Astrid Adrienne : Observing the PRC development which has undergone a long evolutionary history, since Manchuria dynasty, the Qing, Ming, to the idea of Da Guo Fan or "in one big pot" of Mao Tse Tung, and then switched from Deng Xiao Ping, Jiang Ze Min, and Hu Jin Tao, the country is to keep learning, continue to dialectic, and open to the time's challenges. Then by letting happen seedbed of socialist thought, Confucius, and is now a global market, making the PRC is more competitive and productive. We may sigh with the events of Tiananmen, and some terrible things of the PRC against Taiwan, Tibet and a number of totalitarian behavior exhibited by PRC military over the years, but beyond that, the PRC make a big change. They did a critical scientific study of Mao Zedong thought about the class struggle and modify it without losing ancient tradition of China based on the Confucian values. They did the emancipation of mind, opened the horizon of its people's thinking to look out for symptoms and global change. And they implement a new idea in internal elements such as focus on the party's work which is not only in politics, but concentrated on the country's development. Nino Dahling, for more fun, you can read Martin Jacques in his book "When China Rules The World", and Naisbit with his "China's Megatrends". Those were two of many books had been written last year by linear coincident with the collapse of world economic powers: the United States and Europe. No less than Huntington until Fukuyama have "mistake" in an ideawhich slipped on the factual condition of civilization which constantly evolving search for truth and ultimate plenary, mmm ... except Derida, who should be proud on the fact of the continuity of the civilization implementation in a dialectical necessity, although its acceleration also determines the order of its organic community. Such as the East and West, Socialism and Capitalism, Islam and Europe, will not stop at the point of a new thesis as an objective truth. Indeed, in its linear motion, it would correspond, or even hits the its walls existence to test the existence of new theories in an objective and natural. The end of the end of history
    FRANCIS FUKUYAMA'S 1990 article
Valentino Vie : Oh my beautiful and intelligent wife, when we see a hundred flowers bloom, then a hundred ideas will emerge. And that a country may have the dark experience in its journey of history, but learning from past mistakes and rose again to catch up tomorrow is the main thing and important to improve the fate of a nation. Heigh-ho! here a man is talking about nation, but the nation doesn't talk about him: me. Doh! Let's talk about you, me and us, baby. We can start from the analogy of China and its corruption eradication, management of production efficiency, education and culture, mastery of technology, as well as a productive way to enjoy modernity, and not consumerism as patterns of the nation's elite who drunk with power, such as those exhibited by the political scene in your country, hahahaa.
Adriaan Zef : Domestically, China is ruled by Communism, because China is still led by one party system. However, China starts to move to a free market system. At the same time, China is also being nationalistic which stimulates the disintegration of some of the region, where the U.S. provides tacit support consistently. Until the point when China decides what its true identity, this country will continue to retractable to different directions, and China won't be able to rise to rival any superpower. Although China currently can match the U.S. in economic terms that contributed to the trade quarrel between them, but the U.S. also has set the limits on Chinese imports and China is now in a position as an object of the WTO case, of anti-competitive practices. It's true, for the U.S., China is a threat in Southeast Asia, the U.S. wants to limit the political ambitions of China, but at the same time, the U.S. wants to master the Chinese domestic market valued at 1.4 trillion dollars. China's development model suggests that any country will be able to grow in any direction. But the development is essentially the ability to have a view of life (worldview) that acts as a unique foundation of all aspects of a country, both in terms of economics, law, foreign policy, energy, integration, administration, and relations of men and women. With a unique view of life, then a country will resolve all the issues consistently, have a direction, and this will make progress. Without ideology, it's possible for a country going forward, but it will find itself in an unresolved dilemma, right hon?

P1 : MOSCOW — When Duma deputy Gennady Gudkov left Pushkin Square Monday night, the crowd -- estimated by the police at 14,000 -- was just starting to disperse. They had stood for two hours in sub-zero temperatures, not 24 hours after Vladimir Putin wept after sweeping to victory in Sunday's presidential race with 63.6 percent of the vote. They had listened to speeches from the whole gamut of the opposition -- the leftists, the nationalists, Alexey Navalny, Mikhail Prokhorov, all had their turn at the microphone. They chanted "Putin is a thief!" and "We are the power!" They weren't as cheerful as they'd been in past protests, but they were peaceful, despite the crowd of Putin supporters that had arrived from central casting. Gudkov, who represents the Just Russia party and has been a central figure in this winter's opposition protests, made sure to talk to the police officer overseeing the whole operation before he left for his appearance on opposition channel RainTV. Ilya Ponomarev, another Just Russia Duma deputy who has been a key figure in the movement, had announced from the stage that he would meet with anyone who wanted to talk to him at the fountain in the center of the square, a sort-of impromptu town hall. Navalny, the anti-corruption activist who's become the opposition's most natural leader, and leftist activist Sergei Udaltsov had announced that they weren't leaving the square, period -- an unlikely prospect given the temperature. "He told me, fine, let them stay and shout for a few hours," Gudkov said, of the police supervisor. It didn't quite go down like that. Gudkov and his son Dmitry, also a Duma deputy from the same party, left Pushkin Square with a clear conscience. Ponomarev climbed up on the granite fountain in the center of the square, where Navalny, Udaltsov and a few others joined them. A small crowd of supporters -- almost all male -- stuck around, too. When the police started shouting at them to clear out, Navalny's bodyguard commanded the crowd to form a tightly packed chain around him, and the young men at the bottom of that snow-filled empty fountain joined up. Riot police started to sweep the square and drag people into armored vans: holding pens on wheels. Then the police descended into the fountain, snatching links out of the human chain, one by one, and dragging them to the side of the fountain, and hurling them, like sacks of potatoes, over the red granite border. "Hey! Toss the next one!" one of the cops waiting up there giggled in delight. They got Udaltsov, Navalny, opposition figure Ilya Yashin, a Western journalist, and Ponomarev, who stood shouting into a loudspeaker: "Police! Stop breaking the law! This is a peaceful meeting!" (They quickly released him.) All in all, they got 250 people, including Alena Popova, a glamorous young media consultant and e-government evangelist who has linked up to Ponomarev and the opposition movement. She wasn't so lucky, though: the police broke her arm. Hearing about this, the Gudkovs raced back to Pushkin Square from the television studio. By the time they arrived, the riot police and the OMON special police had formed a chain and started to push everyone out of the square. There was plenty of room and not many people, but they managed to get into such a formation -- a reverse cowherd -- that people, many of them journalists with press badges in full view, started falling and getting trampled underfoot.

There was plenty of room and not many people, but they managed to get into such a formation -- a reverse cowherd -- that people, many of them journalists with press badges in full view, started falling and getting trampled underfoot. Gudkov tried to stop them in their tracks. "I'm a deputy of the Federal Duma!" he said. "I'm a Duma deputy!" The police kept pushing. "What the fuck?" Gudkov exclaimed, as the police nearly bowled him over. "Do you hear me? I'm a Duma deputy!" Dmitry wasn't having any more luck, even when he flashed his Duma ID."Motherfuckers," he grunted as the police shoved him forward. "This is how you elect a fucking president? Where is Gennady Yurievich?" the elder Gudkov growled when the pushing abated for a minute, demanding to see the police supervisor who had upended the contract. "Who is the commanding officer here? Who?" The police were mute.
Astrid Adrienne: When Dmitry Gudkov tried to get through the line to find this commanding officer, he was immediately detained, but released when the officers waiting for him in the police van saw who he was. Why did the police show such disregard for a government official, ostensibly a reprentative of the people, even when he showed them proof of his identity -- and stature? "Because we haven't abided by the law here in ages," Dmitry Gudkov told me afterwards, angrily adjusting his shearling. "I was just in Astrakhan, monitoring the vote. They wouldn't let me into the polling stations. I was climbing over fences to get in, even though, as a Duma deputy, I have the right to walk into any government office without impediment. "It was all a strange echo of the night of Dec. 5, when thousands of people came out to Chistye Prudy in central Moscow to
protest the fraudulent parliamentary vote the day before. That night's protest was peaceful and the cops stood respectfully by until a small faction tried to march down to Lubyanka, the headquarters of the FSB. That's when the batons rained down and bodies were dragged kicking to the arrest vans, and the police made the colossal mistake of arresting Navalny, instantly turning a blogger into a leader of the movement. And instead of turning people away, the violence seemed to galvanize people: Five days later, a crowd of 50,000 showed up to Bolotnaya Square to demand free elections and the respect of their government. On the eve of the presidential election, I wrote that, when faced with two options in a tense political atmosphere, Putin tends to pick the absolute worst option. The days since -- from his paranoiacally armored, tear-filled victory speech when only a third of the votes were counted, to Monday's crackdown-- seem to continue to bear that theory out. Instead of letting the stragglers shout in Pushkin Square until they could no longer stand in ankle-deep snow, to let the protest fizzle away into the very insignificance that Putin claims they represent, the command come down to arrest the sons of bitches -- and mint some new martyrs. (One lesson they did seem to learn from Dec. 5, when they jailed Navalny for 15 days: This time, they released him after charging him with a petty offense -- organizing a protest, maximum fine $70.) "It's not clear what to do with the protests," Masha Lipman, a political analyst with the Moscow Carnegie Center, told me a couple days before the election. "On one hand, they're probably thinking, '"enough leniency, let's crack down." But if they do crack down, then the press is filled with images of contorted faces and police batons, and it's a very unpleasant picture of Putin's first day after the election." And Putin, it should be noted, cares about his image in the West. At an investor conference this fall, he courted Western capital and went on at length about what a European country Russia was. One of the last things he did before the election was to invite the editors of some of the most important European newspapers to his dacha for an interview, partly to talk to them about how Russian foreign policy would continue to be friendly -- and business friendly -- toward the West during a third Putin term. In May, three weeks after his inauguration, Putin will go to Chicago for the G-8 summit. How good can an alpha dog feel if his victory -- which he clearly saw as an emotional, historical milestone -- is marred by some roughed-up hipsters? Already, the chidings are pouring in. Prokhorov, who had just met with a very welcoming, encouraging Putin Monday morning, issued a statement condemning the violence. "I'm outraged by the use of force against people who had gathered to express their civic position," he said. "I am positive that the use of force and arrest of opposition politicians could have been avoided." "Troubling to watch arrests of peaceful demonstrators at Pushkin square," tweeted Michael McFaul, the new U.S. ambassador to Russia and close advisor to President Barack Obama, with whom Putin is to have a tête-a-tête in Chicago. By 11 p.m., four hours after the protest on Pushkin Square had started, there were few people left. Dmitry Gudkov was trying to find out the whereabouts of Ponomarev, Navalny, and the others who had been arrested. A shocked Gennady Gudkov stood talking to a scrum of journalists -- who had themselves been roughed up -- when a cop with a megaphone walked by. "Go to the metro," the cop droned. "Stop your illegal actions." Gudkov did a double take. "What illegal actions?" he said. "I'm standing in the square, talking to people. I'm not even shouting political slogans!" I asked him how tonight's crackdown looked for Putin, so jubilant and generous in his victory. "Party's over," Gudkov sighed. "Party's ruined."

It has been more than two months I have not worked on this blog, but ... do you still remember with my support for Putin in my previous post? Well, I can not explain how I "feel", (although I also can "think") why and how Putin will win in 2012, then Russia will be safe in his hands, as well as I can not explain why I "feel" Libya won't shine if they are not honest to the cause of Gaddafi's death. And one more thing, I do not see "something" in the face of Mitt Romney. Let's take a look at the end of this year. Don't forget me. I miss you all.

"Thank you for your perception! I like your romantic side, even if I do not always comment and I'm glad that you're in my circle of friends."
    (Courtesies by: Wolfgang A. Gerhardt)

Wolfgang A.Gerhardt : May be you like this Sunday collage

Cisca Zarmansyah : Before today, there never was a person doing this to me. You create a simple matter to look special. This is a special thing for me.

Cisca Zarmansyah : Thank you. I love it. I love you, my friend.

CieL- FreYa Ceastle : Hmm, he's so nice...

    "I am me.
    In all the world,
there is no one else exactly like me.
Everything that comes out of me
    is authentically mine,
because I alone chose it --
    I own everything about me:
    my body,
    my feelings,
    my mouth,
    my voice,
    all my actions,
whether they be to others or myself.
    I own my fantasies,
    my dreams,
    my hopes,
    my fears.
I own my triumphs and successes,
    all my failures and mistakes.
Because I own all of me,
I can become intimately acquainted with me.
    By so doing,
    I can love me
and be friendly with all my parts.
I know there are aspects about myself that puzzle me,
and other aspects that I do not know
-- but as long as I am friendly
    and loving to myself,
    I can courageously and hopefully
    look for solutions
    to the puzzles and ways
to find out more about me.
    However I look and sound,
    whatever I say and do,
and whatever I think and feel at a given moment in time
    is authentically me.
If later some parts of how I looked,
    sounded,
    thought,
    and felt
    turn out to be unfitting,
I can discard that which is unfitting,
    keep the rest,
    and invent something new
    for that which I discarded.
    I can see,
    hear,
    feel,
    think,
    say, and do.
I have the tools to survive,
    to be close to others,
    to be productive,
    and to make sense
and order out of the world of people
    and things outside of me.
    I own me,
    and therefore,
    I can engineer me.
    I am me,
    and I am okay."
