However, sectarian conflict in Iraq today is not driven by differences in religion, but rather by political problems. Shia -- which now dominate the government because they are the majority population in comparison with the Sunni Arabs only about 15 percent -- is considered collaborating with the occupying forces led by the U.S.. Actually, Shia groups also donot want any foreign troops in their country.

As Sunnis, they also want the U.S. to get out of Iraq, but the war made by the Shiite militant group is not sustainable because it is not supported by senior clerics, such as Ayatollah Ali al-Sistani, who thinks it is not realistic to expel U.S. troops from Iraq. The departure of the U.S. at the time could push Iraq to the brink of civil war.

In the meantime, there are a lot of complicated things still faced by Iraq. For example, the problem of the federal state, the distribution of oil, and the weakness of security forces to deal with the Iraqi resistance groups. Now there are more and more members of Al Qaeda and other militant groups from Arab countries to infiltrate into Iraq to take revenge against the U.S. who continues to support Israel. Their attacks against Shiites aimed at creating a civil war to thwart the U.S. agenda. To control the situation, Iraq's neighbors related to ethnic and sect in Iraq such as Iran, Turkey, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Jordan, and Syria, should be involved in finding solutions.

No wonder if Saudi Arabia, which has a six percent Shi'a population in the province of al-Ahsa, Saudi major oil fields, began to build a fence on the border of Iraq and Arabia along hundreds of kilometers in order to prevent the effects of civil war and block the entry-exit of Saudi militants into Iraq.
