■ Cannes prepares for star-studded final evening. The 66th Cannes film festival prepares for a glittering final evening as thousands soak in the French city's glamour and sunshine, and Steven Spielberg chairs the jury awarding prizes including the top Palme D'Or.

■ Bruce Dern bags Best Actor prize at Cannes. One of the stars of Hollywood's 1970s golden age, Bruce Dern, won the best actor prize Sunday at the Cannes Film Festival for his performance in Alexander Payne's "Nebraska". In the recession-era road movie, the 76-year-old Dern plays an alcoholic father who believes he has won a million-dollar sweepstake. ■ 'Blue is the Warmest Colour' wins Cannes Palme d'Or. The sexually graphic lesbian love story "Blue is the Warmest Colour" on Sunday scooped the top Palme d'Or prize at the Cannes Film Festival. French-Tunisian director Abdellatif Kechiche's three-hour film set Cannes abuzz with its explicit unsimulated sex scenes and has made a star out of one of its lead actresses Adele Exarchopoulos. ■ Amat Escalante wins best director prize at Cannes. Mexico's Amat Escalante won the best director prize at the Cannes Film Festival Sunday for the ultra-violent "Heli" about his country's blood-drenched drug wars.

► Cliff Diving World Series sees plunges of 27m. About 70,000 people watched the world's bravest divers plunge off a 27-metre platform on Saturday as the first round of the Red Bull World Cliff Diving Series kicked off in La Rochelle, France. 

► LA hosts largest US medical marijuana convention. HempCon, America's largest convention dedicated to medical marijuana, draws crowds of users and business entrepreneurs.

► Japanese mafia tattoos paraded at festival. The laws targeting them have been beefed up, but that doesn't stop members of the Japanese mafia -- or Yakuza -- from showing off their distinctive tattoos at an annual religious festival in downtown Tokyo.

► Falling Cable Hurts 10 NASCAR Fans. A falling cable from a TV camera injured 10 fans at Sunday's Coca Cola 600 NASCAR race in Charlotte, North Carolina. All of the injured were treated and released.

► Pope celebrates Mass in first parish visit as Bishop of Rome. Pope Francis has made his first parish visit as Bishop of Rome. He chose to celebrate Mass at a new church on the outskirts of the capital. ► Inside Story -  The Rohingya tragedy. A two-child limit has been imposed on Muslim families in a troubled province in Myanmar. The government has blamed a growing Rohingya population for stirring tensions with local Buddhists. They have been described as among the world's least wanted people, and one of the most persecuted. The Roginya Muslims in Myanmar, and a government-appointed commission has declared that their rapidly growing population is representing a serious threat, that is making ethnic Buddhists feel insecure.

Dear David Gandy, do you feel sexy? Just because you pose nude, then do you think you will look sexy? eehheh ... very wrong! Wrong. Animals also have their genitals and they are not required to wear the shirt. And I have seen, some animals pose with their expressions look more sexy than your unnatural expressions. To me, you're like a gay. And I have absolutely no interest in gay. Sorry.

And if you're suddenly confused because I'm a little bitter today, do not think this is the reverse reaction of a psychological boost that I will fall in love with David Gandy. Eehhehe,.. never. Nevah, dahling.
