"People should be free to do whatever they believe .... Not our right to punish people because of what they believed to be the truth, no matter how much we disagree with it. "(Altair, Assassin's Creed: The Secret Crusade)

"A true leader gives power to the people they lead." (Ezio, Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood)

The first sentence was delivered by Altair when he was on a mission to kill his seven victims. Earlier, the victim Jubair ordered all his followers to collect all the books and manuscripts and then burn it. He thought that the book and the codex was misleading, making people became stupid.

Assassin's Creed became popular, following a series of games released by Ubisoft. This fantasy novel was made according to the story in the games, explored the battle between the Assassin Order and Templar. As its games, this novel also received a warm welcome in many countries.

Oliver Bowden or Ray Evans, whose real name Anton Gill has been writing since 1984, from biographies, fiction, nonfiction specialized to Contemporary European history.

In this fantasy novel with a background in Italian on 15 -16 century, Bowden could express the emotions and struggles of the Assassin. He bridged the presence of the real figures which then made fictional, such as Leonardo da Vinci, Machiavelli, and Richard the lion heart that his name is known in the Crusades.

History combined with a fictional story makes this story fascinating and explore the imagination. Some sentences were chosen to invite reflection and questions about justice and truth. It takes prudence and maturity of thought to interpret the story of Assassin's.

Fortunately, the translation is quite flowing, so the emotion in the story could be caught. Two first book tells the story of Ezio Auditore and a third book about the Altair, a Master Assassin and the predecessor of Ezio. Loyalty, justice, brotherhood, and truth become the central point for Assassin's Creed.

The first and second book tells the story of Ezio, a young skilled with courage and unusually youthful freedom, until when he was confronted with the harsh reality. His prominent family was vilified until destroyed. His father turned out to be one of the Assassin fighters, and Ezio eventually followed the path of his father, received education from his uncle, Mario Auditore, who was also an Assassin.

In the first story, Ezio met with Leonardo da Vinci and Machiavelli. With the help of Leonardo and codex sheet, Ezio made weapons to fight the Templars who wanted to rule the world through artifacts which believed to be buried under the Vatican. The second book, Brotherhood, still tells about the adventures of Ezio.

The third book tells the story of Altair's life, the Master Assassin. The story was told by Altair to Ezio, and Ezio then told his friend, Maffeo.

Listening Altair adventure is very interesting. It explores the courage, guilt, pride, loyalty, friendship, and betrayal. How could Altair successfully carry out the mission to kill nine people believed would destroy the world? How did Altair eventually have to face the reality of the his teacher's betrayal --- Master Assassin Al Mualim --- who was regarded as the father?

At the end of the third book there are also explanations and answers about the adventures of Ezio while chasing the codex sheets.

► No need to rush to label "materialistic" to a woman with a partner who looks worse than her.  University of Tennessee study revealed it could be due to the consideration that couples with men (those who are less physically enchanting when compared to the women) are likely to be permanent.

The study, published in the Journal of Family Psychology involves 82 couples the age of 20 years. Approximately one-third of the participants had a more attractive wife than the husband, another third is the couple with more attractive husband and the remaining is the partners who look balanced.

Researchers then recorded conversations every couple  about personal problems for 10 minutes. It was found that husbands were more positive and supportive when the women more attractive. Meanwhile, the handsome men with their not so pretty partner showed abandonment response.
