News Headlines (406) 30 October 2013

ONLINE TODAY

► The details may get frustrating today, as you find people focusing too much on the small stuff and ignoring the big picture. Still, you've got to follow their lead, even if it means you're neck-deep in spreadsheets. Good news is coming in regard to a health issue today, and it will help clear your mind of a lot of stress and worry that has been crowding your life for the past several days. But this doesn't mean you should slow down on the healthy track you've been going down. Keep eating healthy, keep thinking healthy, and definitely keep exercising! You are on a good track, and there is no reason for you to step off of it now. Keep up the good work -- you will thank yourself for it later.
Oh yeah? But still, as I recall, this is not because of Obamacare.

► As John F. Kennedy once said, "The greatest enemy of the truth is not the lie – deliberate, contrived, and dishonest – but the myth – persistent, pervasive, and unrealistic."

SCREEN : Baby's Emotional Reaction to Mother's Song - Nothing is stronger than the bond between mother and child. This certainly rings true at the Leroux household in Ontario, Canada. Their daughter loves one of her mom's songs so much, it send sher into floods of tears, every time she hears it. Mom Amanda Leroux told Storyful: “No one can explain why, not even I. I can sing any other song and do not get the same reaction from her. It’s to adorable to keep all to ourselves.” Update: The song is "My Heart Can't Tell You No," which has been performed by both Rod Stewart and Sara Evans. Credit:Alain Leroux.

Why Humans Like to Cry: The Evolutionary Origins of Tragedy - by Michael Trimble. 2 October 2013 : Researchers Regenerate a Fully Functional Bioengineered Lacrimal Gland.

Is this psychic or reflex tears? The psychic tears are usually caused by intense emotional stress, depression or physical pain. Not only negative emotions, but one can also cry when extremely feels happy.

Psychic tears is different from other types of tears. There is a system called the limbic system involved in the production, especially the organ called the hypothalamus. Parasympathetic branch of the autonomic system of glands regulate lacrimation through acetylcholine neurotransmitters through nicotinic and muscarinic receptors. When both receptors is activated, then the tear glands will produce its tears. When someone is crying for the loss of something, it means the nervous system more 'comfortable' or reach a stage of 'accept' the loss conditions. This leads to a balance between the sympathetic (stress-producing) and parasympathetic (relaxation-producing), part of the nervous system.

■ 25 October 2013 : Kate Middleton, Prince William Bought Baby Prince George a $2,350 Stroller
■ 26 October 2013 : Kate Middleton, Prince William Fawn Over Prince George In Touching New Christening Photo

What? U.S. $ 2350? Only for a stroller? Only for a baby who is in the growth process? Ah, too wasteful, and very un-Christian.

What is indicated by this news does not reflect what was taught by Jesus of Nazareth -- central figure of Christianity -- about the simplicity and frugality. A royal baby should also be taught for charity to other poor babies.

If you baptize your baby without understanding its purpose, you better take him to the baby pool to swim and have fun there than undergo a series of formalities in church activities.

'No Woman, No Drive!' Saudi women to keep fighting against driving ban

I think the problem is more ridiculous than just driving. When we -- the women in developed countries -- have been adept at driving the vehicle and we are also able to participate in car racing championship, if we want it, you -- the women in Saudi Arabia are still struggling and preoccupied with permission the allowed to drive. Regulations in Saudi Arabia dramatizing a little thing as if it was a big deal. Only the group of stupid people who would do that.
I am also guessing whether by allowing the Saudi women driving all types of vehicles then the Arab men feel to compete with the car gear stick.

When on a lonely night (Note: actually there is no lonely nights in this town, but people with loneliness in their hearts, and do not ask me why do they still feel lonely in a crowded city) I drove one of my fiance cars --- while listening to nostalgic music, I felt very grateful for the legal system in our country because it had been allowed me to do all of it alone (using his car, got his permission to go alone), even I've arrived at the intersection of several questions, "Where are you going to drive his car, Cisca?" --- I felt I had to respect the freedom that had been given by my fiance as well as possible : immediately went home and waited for him until he returned and killed my wild mind to call him or made an appointment to have a romantic evening with him him.
OP-ED : Behind the Saudi crack-up

Hmm, Syria is more beautiful than Saudi Arabia. Why Russia should be aroused by your temptations, Arab moron? Ah, it's just a nightmare! Fuhgeddaboudit. So, do not tempt Russia when it actually want to slap you, understand?

NEWS& POLITIC : Murder Island - Corsican Crime Wave. Sun, sea, sand and a good chance of being killed. Gang rivalries are turning Corsica into Europe's murder hotspot. With homicide rates 7 times higher than in mainland France, gang rivalry over lucrative tourist property development deals has turned the stunningly beautiful island of Corsica into Europe's crime hot spot.

"We can no longer count how many people have died," says crime reporter Paul Ortoli. "Anyone could get killed at any time and anywhere." The list of recent victims in this killing spree includes some of the island's more powerful figures. The daylight murder of Corsica's most prominent lawyer, Antoine Sollacaro, has taken on a symbolic significance. The inadequately equipped law enforcement is headed by Mayor Ange-Pierre Vivoni. His heroic efforts to protect the island's natural beauty have made him the target of arson and bombing attempts. With 3 murders occurring in the time of filming this report, the leader of a protest group is angered by France's indifference to Corsica's plight. "The French Government is not interested in Corsica. We are nothing. That's why they leave us in the hands of the mafia."
